Hi all!  Thank you for your kind words, Rae!  grin

I did enjoy my rest day yesterday.  And no, Chad, I didn’t manage to do much outside.  But I did have my windows open most of the afternoon!

Gotta just post and dash this morning.  I’m meeting my Mom and sister at the surgeon’s office this morning.  We should be getting the final word on whether Mom has been approved (and scheduled) for surgery.  I think she probably will be but you never know with these kinds of things.

Day 11

45 minutes
2.177 miles
2.0 incline
2.8-3.0 mph
Max HR 121 (70%)
Avg HR 114 (66%)
254 calories (55% fat)

Thanks, Emmi!

Poor Chad!  Big sad face, indeed!  As much as I love cold weather, I like it in small doses.  And without a whole lot of snow and ice involved.  (Remind me of this next August when I’m whining about how hot it is here, okay?) wink

Good news from the surgeon.  Mom is scheduled for her operation on the 30th and he says she has very good prospects for a positive outcome.  He thinks her tumor is not the most common kind (the kind that probably would have killed her by now!) and that her’s appears to be quite slow growing and very self-contained.  All of this is very good news.  She’s still got a LONG road to travel, but we’re feeling a bit more optimistic after today’s news. smile

Well, so much for keeping up with exercise!  LOL

Yesterday morning I noticed my left knee getting all gimpy when I started out on the treadmill.  I think I twisted it sometime during all of our hiking around the miles of corridors at the medical center on Monday.  Anyway, I didn’t continue on the treadmill.  Then work was hectic and I didn’t even have time to pop my head in here.

Today, my knee felt better but at about 25 minutes it started getting kind of gimpy again, so I cut the workout short.  And work is back to somewhat normal today, so I’ve been able to stop by and post my stuff!  (That’s one of those technical terms!) grin

Day 12

Unplanned rest day

Day 13

30 minutes
1.381 miles
2.0 incline
2.8 mph
Max HR 117 (68%)
Avg HR 110 (64%)
158 calories (60% fat)

Hope your knee stops being “gimpy”! At least you got some movement in today! Take care of that knee!

Judy you may want to ruduce the incline on your treadmill for a couple of days to give your knee a break.

I’m visualizing all you big guys walking gingerly!  LOL

I decided to take a break from the treadmill totally today and did some yoga instead.  My knee is feeling a lot better, so I expect I’ll be back on the treadmill before you know it.

Day 14

30 minutes of yoga

I thought of all of you guys in colder climates when I saw the picture below.  grin

I can feel a kind of mental rebelliousness going on today.  My inner 2-year-old appears to have sat her butt down saying she is NOT GOING TO EXERCISE TODAY!

Okay.  We’ll have a quiet day today with no self-imposed SHOULDS or MUSTS or HAVE TOS.  smile

Tomorrow is another day!  grin
