It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

Thanks everyone!

Tom, I’m doing about 10 miles a week. More every week!

School was fun, and exhausting. I fought off a nap for an hour after I came home (it was only a half day), but gave in and slept until my kids got off the bus.

Wednesday: P90 strength

Saturday & Sunday: REST DAYS

Arghhh!!! angry Best laid plans and all that, my weekend ended up being more packed than I’d realized, and I let a few hours yesterday morning disappear. So I’ll do my long run today. But that means again skipping the P90 (at least the leg portion).

Well, off to work.

Happy Monday everyone!

Tee hee hee about the best laid plans. Life has a way of whacking plans out of the ball park. Hope you were able to get your run in. Sometimes I am exercising at 10 at night just to be able to say it got done that day when the plan is really to do it first thing in the morning. At least you keep trekking along.

Monday: P90 sculpt

Another day of work and errands. My posture has been off, so I have some lower back pain. The good news is that its not serious, and I just have to stand better.

My knee is whispering to me too. I cut out 1 of my ibuprofen, and I can feel the difference. This has helped me make the decision to move from the half marathon distance to the 10K distance in the WWH marathon challenge.

Tuesday: P90 sweat/abs; 1 mile tempo run w/ .25 m cool down

Wednesday: P90 sculpt; ninja weeding

With the start of school comes the start of kids being home sick. Mouse caught a cold and stayed home yesterday, then at noon I got a call from Skeeter—she had a fever. Today Mouse is back at school (she wasn’t as sick as she had thought), but Skeeter is still running a fever. So I’m home again today.

Tom, can you advise me, or recommend a website to help me keep my wisteria under control? I had to trim it back a lot, it was getting under my siding. Thanks.

Bree

I hope you don’t have to wait in a walk-in clinic forever like I did today! rasberry

I hope she can nix that fever soon!

What kind of distance calculator do you use? Is it one of those ones you wear around your neck? I’m thinking about getting one.

Hope Skeeter mends soon.  Sick kids are not fun.  But I know you’ll give her tons of TLC until she gets better.  Take care of youself too.  I don’t want to find out that you caught whatever it is as well.

Friday:REST DAY

Really, I took a nap in the morning. Not sure if I was fighting off the cold, or whatever it is, or if I was just that tired.

Skeeter is still sick. We didn’t make it to the doc, I don’t think its anything a prescription will fix. I did get Tylenol and am now alternating that and Ibuprofen, and her fever is down. She’s feeling a bit better, until the meds wear off. Her fever was 103.1 when she woke up this morning. It’s down to normal now.
