The tweak is gone, I caught it immediately and thanks to reading about yours, and other’s back injuries, I took care of it right away. Gotta love heating pads!

Tuesday: P90 sweat/abs

Was planning my 1 mile tempo run after my P90 workout, but was wiped. The girls and I did the pool thing again, and it was super hot. The heat index was 107 when I left the house. So, I just did the power 90.

Had Bunco tonight, but we didn’t play. The hostess has a pool, we swam instead. With the heat from the day the water temp was 92! It felt amazing to just float around a warm pool and gab with all the girls.

Floating about in the pool sounds like the only smart thing to do with temps like that!!

Good to know that you agree that breathing is helpful when exercising. I tend to forget that. smile

Wednesday: 1 mile tempo run, P90 sculpt

I should add that I do a .25 mile warm up and another .25 mile cool down at 3mph.

A friend commented today that I have amazing dedication to work out every day. It stopped me cold. I hadn’t thought of it as dedication, its just something I do. And that thought made me realize how far I’ve come. She followed me home to borrow the first set of power 90 dvds. How cool is that?

It’s true you are dedicated Bree, most people finish then the just stop the exercise.

Thursday: P90 sweat/abs, and lots of child tossing at the pool

Yesterday was the first day of school, just a half day, but it was still a crazy day. Today was the first full day, and I did something very out of character for me—I read a 400 page book, cover to cover. I didn’t get dressed, I’d forgotten to eat until 11. It was wonderful. But now I’m wearing my workout clothes, catching up some here, and getting ready for my run.

It must have been a good book!! Staying in your PJ’s all day is good to do everyonce in a while. How’d the run go?

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

Friday: 2.5 mile run & P90 sculpt

The run was awesome! I used the run/walk method and ran at a faster speed. My HR stayed down, and my perceived exertion was so much less than my 1 mile run earlier this week. I’m going to keep playing with that.

The funny thing was it was 8:30pm before I finally got on the treadmill, then I still had the P90 to do. Hubby was watching TV, so I popped the DVD into the computer (right next to the TV), and we watched Eureka while I was doing my weights.

The book was really good. It was for my book club, and not my typical reading style, so it was a wonderful little escape. It was “Ain’t She Sweet” by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. There are some steamy scenes, but not overly done, and the rest of the story is entertaining.

Saturday: REST DAY

Gonna take Skeeter shopping for school clothes this evening after the pool. It’s tax-free weekend, so we save 10%!!!

Nope, but it is the best part about being fit!

Sunday: REST DAY

I was on the go all weekend. I’d planned to get my long run in, but it just didn’t happen. Last night when I had time, I was exhausted, so I put it off to today. I seem to ALWAYS put off my long run until Monday. So, I messed with this week’s schedule and will run the long run on Saturday (not counting today’s). I think if I get it done Saturday morning, it will be much easier to fit in. If not, I’ll mess with the schedule again and put it on Fridays. I’ll get it all worked out.

Monday: 4.5 mile run

Jenn and I were scheduled to do the P90 sculpt, but I opted to skip it. I felt good after the run, but knew doing weights the same day would be too much.

Joan—the shopping went well, took forever, but we came out with a couple of adorable outfits, and even bought Mouse a new dress that she absolutely loves.

Today I babysat for MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers), wow, I need a nap. It was a lot of fun, and I plan on doing it every month. Instead of a nap, I think I’ll get some coffee and go for my run.

Tuesday: 1.5 mile tempo run, 1.5 mile walk, P90 sweat/abs

I was famished today (even before my workouts), so I binged ... on carrots. I wanted so bad to eat all the yummy naughty stuff, but asked how I wanted to feel. So I pigged out on baby carrots. I finally got full 3 servings later, this was after my lunch. And I felt great, got all my workouts done, and I’m not crabby (like I’d be if I ate junk).

Don’t worry, I ate crap on Sunday, so the memory is fresh. Darn yummy crunchwraps from Taco Bell!

My preschool just called, I’ll be working from here on. The teacher with cancer retired (good for her!), and they haven’t replaced her yet. So I’m filling in until they do. School starts tomorrow, so I do too!
