I have to chime in on this one.  I’m with Shawn, I can’t stand to get into a warm pool.  There’s just something gross about it.  I go swimming to cool off.  If I want warm water I’ll go take a bath.  As for the temperature of my toilet; I don’t plan on sticking my hand in there to find out the temperature.  tongue wink Try to stay cool!  I know how you’re feeling.  Don’t you just love summer in the South?  Ugh!

I’m curious as to how much we all differ as to what “cold” and “warm” means. Personally, we empty our hot tub in the summer because the hot water isn’t appealing when it’s warm out. I do like the pool around 83 degrees. When it gets much hotter, then I too think “What’s the point?”

When I said the toilet thing I meant after the business, but I digress! Bree enjoy your sleepy time!

Ah yes, now I see. Yes, after the business the water temperature would increase.

Friday: 2 mile easy run, P90 sculpt, and of course, child tossing at the pool

Since it was an easy run, I hit the pavement. Hot as heck, and we’re about to get a storm, so the humidity is choking. But it was wonderful to run outside.

You’re doing Power 90, Bree? If so, that’s awesome. It looks like people are getting great results.

Hey Brandon! Yep, P90 is great. I haven’t lost weight, but have dropped 1/2 an inch off my tummy! It’s fun, too. I like that I can feel myself getting stronger and fitter every week. Almost time to step the weights up to 15 pound dumbbells on some of the routines. Woohoo!!!

Saturday: rest day?
Deep cleaned the heck out of the floors. Took forever to find Skeeter’s floor. She’s turning into a hoarder, and it was all shoved up to the side of the room behind stuff. She still had all her papers from this last school year. We filled our huge outside garbage can with stuff just from her room, and still have enough to half fill it again!

Today I get to run 4 miles. Woke up at 4:30 and can’t get back to sleep, so I’m playing here until Hubby gets up so I can run on the treadmill. It’s so humid I can’t see through the windows (all the condensed water). And it’s not even August yet! grrr

Off to the races....
I woke up without the alarm (I ALWAYS do on race day), so thought I’d get on here…

Have a GREAT 4 mile run today Bree!

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

I took today as a rest day. Yesterday I tweaked my back, and as I was starting to move around this morning, I could feel the spot again. I’ve had the heat pad on it while I’ve been at the computer and it feels much better. So gonna do my run in the morning. I’d rather wait a day than turn a tweak into a pull.

Monday: p90 sculpt & 4 mile run

Next time I do a long run, I’ll skip the weights. The legs weren’t as appreciative of the double up. I’ve got to start doing this in the morning, but I like the quiet of sitting here after everyone else is in bed. Luckily school starts on Thursday, so I’ll have more uninterrupted time for my posting.

Wow. School starts at the beginning of August in Tennessee??? Does that mean you’re going back to work too? It seems like the summer has just started. I’d be dying if I was going back this early (if I was still teaching). Of course, we didn’t get out until the end of June.

That sounds like a tough double-up especially with a tweaked back!

The preschool I work at doesn’t start until the middle of August, and I’m just subbing until they know if I’m needed as a disability or behavioral aid. Yay!

Candy, when it’s that humid, I run on the treadmill. I miss outdoor running, but breathing is helpful. tongue wink

Oh no!  I hope your back is okay.  Looks like you got in a good workout even with the tweak.  Take care of yourself.
