Did it again today. I’m starting to push a little more, very little more. Gotta love the sweat.

Thanks, Joan.

Well, Jenn and I completed the 6 day fat burn express part of Power 90. Yesterday was a rest day, and today we start phase 1.

The craziness of summer has begun, as noted by my lack of posting. We made it to the pool yesterday and Mouse had a blast. We took her best friend, so that always makes it better. Skeeter is already grounded, she ignored the “don’t try to carry all the glass plates at once” warnings when unloading the dishwasher. Being short like me, she had to stand on a chair to put them away. I now have to replace all (except 2) my plates, and my kitchen floor. Apparently when glass and linoleum meet, no one wins. Luckily the floor can wait, and until we get the plates, we’ll be using cheap plastic ones I keep on hand for the girls (bright colors, barely a step up from paper, you know the ones, walmart 4 for a buck).

At the pool yesterday I kept getting bit by these small, tiny light brown (skin color) bugs. I’d squish them, and then another would bite me. After much research, I think they’re thrips. Has anyone had any dealings with these nasty little things? I’m getting sunscreen with bug repellent today before I swim.

Good job on the P90 Bree, hope the bugs don’t eat you alive.

Yesterday I took a chair, and that helped with the bugs.

We did the p90 cardio and abs yesterday. Thought I was gonna puke, wow! Today my calves are tight, but otherwise I feel great. Also took the kids swimming, and taught preschoolers at Vacation Bible School. Non-stop moving. 13 little ones, and I didn’t even lose one! It was really fun, slept like a brick.

The ab ripper part is on youtube, that’s the part that got me, really good routine.

Today was the sculpting, it was a bit easier than I thought it would be. I only used 5 pound weights for it, so that may be why it was so easy. The push-ups were the hardest, really struggled with the last 2.

And of course, VBS. Only 12 little ones tonight, they were a bit more rambunctious than yesterday. Guess they’re more used to me now. But it was so much fun, at supper they would point to me and tell their parents I was their teacher. I got many a “she had so much fun yesterday” from them, makes it even better. I am definitely blessed.

Pool was closed today (every Monday), but we’ll be there tomorrow! I stocked up on granola bars and nuts to take with, no way I’m buying the crap they sell there as a snack.  sick

that’s the kind of statement… in the middle of it all, to realize, that makes it so telling how you live your life Bree!  With graditude, and a lust for life… it comes across in your posts! and the way you enjoy the life you have!

That is the true meaning of living!

Thanks all! I took the pic late last night. Beat, tired, and definitely happy. I’m so happy that it all shows.

Oh, I lost the water weight I was carrying. All 4 pounds of it! Flo is so mean. mad

Hi Bree,

Nice picture!! Yep you definitely look happy!
You have trouble with your knee you were telling me last week, that must frustrate you now and then I imagine(But you’re right taking it easy better than doing it on the character with a year recovery time) Running is not the greatest sport for the joints, esp. when running on the road…
my boyfriend has also problems with the knee, as it seems not as bad -no brace- but no running for him or walking up and down hills. We discovered the Nordic Walking as a nice alternative (even went up a mountain without trouble). Do people do it in the USA also?

Do your daughters have summer holidays now?

I haven’t done Nordic Walking, I’ll keep that in mind. My knee is getting tons better, so I’m starting my half marathon training again at the end of the month. Nice, easy pace.

And yep, my girls are off for summer. One’s at the pool right now (her friend’s mom took them today - yay) and the other is getting ready to teach bible school tonight. She’s a group leader this year, they grow up way too fast!

Hey Bree - you are doing so great!!  So much for summer break - you sound just as busy as before if not more so.  Kids will do that to ya!!  Have fun teaching VBS.  I did that last summer for the first time.

Those little bugs at the pool are annoying.  I had them one summer while Guarding at an outdoor pool.  They seemed to like to fly around under my visor and drove me nuts!!  Don’t remember them biting though.

Yesterday I did the P90 cardio and ab ripper. It was easier this time, not sure if that’s because I knew what I was in for, or what, but I am thankful. Even VBS seemed easier last night.

Today and tomorrow Jenn has appointments after work, so I’m working out solo. downer Normally we’d just do it when she got done, but I’ll be at church. I may get it done before the pool today, then we can stay longer. Decisions, decisions.

My girls are 12 (Skeeter) and 6 (Mouse). Mouse has her friend over and they’re all seeing how messy they can make my house. So far its impressive. We’ll have the clean-it up-or-no-pool game later. smirk

Funny, Emmi, and thanks!

I did the p90 sculpting while the girls ate lunch. Then we ran to the friend’s house for her swim suit, picked up her brother and went to the pool. I learned an important lesson today. When its really windy, spray sunscreen just doesn’t work well outside. Owwwwwieeeeee. Gotta love aloe, will be slathering more on in a minute before bed.

VBS was a blast again tonight. Skeeter was pulled from her group to help with mine, there was something going on and lots of the volunteers had to miss tonight. It was really cute watching my little one lead. Maybe 12 years old makes her not so much a little one, but she’s my kid, she has no chance of being anything but little. tongue laugh

Mouse is spending the night at her friends again. Tomorrow its back here for both of them. We’re beginning to wonder if they’re ever gonna get sick of being around each other.
