I thought I was the only one that still says cool beans! I won’t be jumping on the trampoline, but it “may” help to cushion any impact. I also have those big foam squares that hook together, maybe I’ll just set those up, hmmm. I have enough for both Jenn and I!

Tom, it was fun, and the goal is now to get in that position and hold it for 10 seconds! Don’t hold your breath, but it’d be so cool.

Just went for a 2 mile walk! It was wonderful. The first mile I had my dogs with me, and they loved it. Nice, easy pace. Now to do pilates!

New avatar!

And I just got done with pilates too. I can feel my tummy getting tighter. Love that!

Today I woke up with a sore butt! Amazing how little those muscles get used when you aren’t supposed to use your knees. But I took my 2-ish mile walk (2 laps around the subdivision), first lap with the dogs. They got all happy when I came out of the bedroom with my hat on. After that I just stretched for a while, had to get a shower in and meet Mouse for lunch at her school. They eat at 10:35 (first shift).

Then the store for milk, and home for a bit. At home, I noticed Skeeter’s project sitting by the bookcase. Guess when it was due? Yep, today. I went to her room to find the assignment and double check, no assignment, but a library book she checked out months ago. shut eye Into the car, to the school, on the way I dropped off some clothes Mouse’s friend left here, then to the library to return the book and pay the fine. Then I went and gave blood.

Now I’m light headed and have the best excuse to lounge around and relax. Which is exactly what I’m going to do!

Knee feels good. I’m still taking the boatload of ibuprofen, so it should feel good. I do think it may finally be healing, and just knowing that there is nothing seriously wrong with it helps immensely.

Better than that, Shawn! I got a Dr. Pepper and a s’mores! Haven’t had a Dr. Pepper in years, and never had the s’mores (Little Debbie), that one I was disappointed in, it was good, but not as good as I’d have imagined.

Today was my rest day, so Mouse and I walked the dogs most of a lap around the subdivision. Mouse speed, so it was nice and gentle. Perfect to limber up the muscles.

Bree I have to comment on this current avatar… it’s a bit creepy looking!  I liked the last one so much better! (butterfly/apple) When I looked at this one in the bigger view I realized it is supposed to be a swimmer, but it looks more like some swamp monster when you just see the small view!

As far as the Dr. Pepper and the s’mores.. I guess we can let that slide since you’d just given blood.  I guess after they have your pint then they don’t care if you eat healthy stuff after.

Glad you enjoyed your walk.... I have to get out and do that tonight… I’m still chained to my computer.

Ha, hadn’t looked at the avatar like that! It’s time to change it anyway.

The last 2 days I’ve been doing the fat burning express from the power 90 system. My knee is a bit sore, but I iced it and kept it up and now it feels much better. I also got a bit better knee brace. I tried it out for a bit, and its really comfortable. I’m sure it’ll help tomorrow.

Bree, it’s great that you’re not getting discouraged over your knee.  Keep going girl!

Now that I know I’m not really injured, there’s nothing keeping me down! Within reason, of course.

The cool thing is that this DVD is only for this week, we start the “real” system on Sunday. I guess this is the primer. There is a lot of lunge and squat work in the thing, which is why my knee isn’t thrilled. I’m modifying, when I remember.  smile red face  shut eye

Still doing the Power 90 fat burning express. Yesterday was much easier with the new knee brace. I also did lots of hardio. I was hosting bunco, so it had to get done.

If the rain stops long enough for us to dry out, I may get some yadio done this week too! cool smile

The new avatar is of Mouse doing the sack race at school. I loved the way her hair just flew.

Hi Bree!

How is your 1/2 Marathon schedule coming along?
What is the longest distance you’ve done up to now?

Thanks, Candy!  I certainly think so! smile

Muriel, my 1/2 training is on hold. I had gotten up to 4.5 miles and hurt my knees. My left knee healed, but my right knee is still sore. I’ve checked it all out (MRI) and it’s just inflamed, but still sore. Now I’m still a bit nervous about running on it. Though I really do need to start a plan and see what I can accomplish. If my knee doesn’t cooperate, I’ll still do the 5K.

Tomorrow is the last day of school for my girls. I’m helping with the year end party for Mouse, so this is my last day home alone. To celebrate, I took a nap. cheese This is the last lazy day of summer. Bring on the pool!
