Hmmm, weird web stuff. yeah, he’s at dinner tonight and at the party or whatever tomorrow. A party crash and swim sounds nice or at the very least a girls night that involves chocolate cool smile

Skeeter is having a friend sleep over tomorrow, but I think we should definitely have a girls night too! Could be lots of fun.

Bree, your determination comes through very clearly in your post about your goals. I’m sure you’ll achieve what you want.

That post also reminded me of how different we all are. Right now I weigh only 11 pounds more than you do (and at 26% body fat) and one of my goals is to be able to fit into size 12 pants reasonably consistently. I’m between size 12 and 14. Isn’t that crazy??

Jenn, come on over any time after 3 tomorrow! I have to run and get the necessary supplies, but will be home by then.

Tom, I got asics again. Love that shoe!

Joan, it is so true. I was thinking about that when I was typing. Makes me wonder how much my scale actually measures, and how much is an equation. If I ever get the chance to have it measured another way, I’m going to do it.

Shawn, I’m really loving the running. Almost as addictive as the ellipticrack, may it rest in peace.  long face

Day 3 (1/3)
Abs
Push-ups
Treadmill: 1.5 mile run, 1.5 mile walk

The hard part of my goals is still the why. Why do I want to run a half marathon? Because I can, and think it’d be cool to do. Is that enough of a reason? It’s a good and attainable goal that will also hand me the fitness level I want. Those are the reasons I have. Will they get me through? After I run the half, will I be able to keep going with these as my reasons? I know that you have to know why you want it, and that the why is important. But does the reason need to be big? Is because I can reason enough? I think so. And I’m gonna have a blast testing that theory!

My shoe of choice....Asics my first was the 2110 duomax gels (two of those), now using the foundation 7.....looking at the nimbus 9 for 2008....editors choice for runners world magazine....checking them out this week....

I’m going to be putting in about 25 -40 miles a week, so expect to wear these out in about 3-4 months or so ( what IS the mileage for a pair of shoes).......

Tom, I’ve often heard that when you place 500 miles on a pair of shoes it’s time to replace them because it can no longer support your feet properly. You can still use the shoes as something to kick around in or for general walking but no more athletics.

Hi Bree,

Your goals are inspiring, and well-thought out.  No doubt you will reach all of them!  Congrats on keepin’ on and Happy New Year, too - all the best in 2008.

My daughter and her friends are into Webkins too!  One of those interactive sights that they can play together or from their respective homes.  What fun.  I had 2 Barbies the whole time growing up.  What a difference 30 years makes!

Take care, and have a great weekend,

Thanks, Marcy. The site is working again. Good thing, the sleepover would be a total bore without it. rolleyes

Jenn, Mouse is having a friend over too, so I’ll be home around 4:30 now. I have to pick the other little girl up. Hubby’s happy he wont’ be here.

[b]Day 4 (1/4)
Abs (50 each of regular and bicycle)
Push-ups (50 girlie)
Treadmill:1.5 mile run, 1.5 mile walk

Ended up having the day off. Neither boy I’m aid to were going to be there. So I ran errands, cleaned most of the house, and got my workout in. Still need to finish the kitchen, but that’s my favorite room to hide in when there’s a house of kids and I need something to keep me busy tonight. I bought craft supplies for the girls too, so the kitchen will need to be cleaned again after that fun.

Hey Bree, my oldest daughter loves Webkinz also… we bought a laptop PC for Christmas for the kids (but we all use it) and Webkinz is the homepage!

Also, I am shocked that you dumped the ellipticrack in favor of running!!  TRAITOR!!! LOL

Don’t worry, Shawn, burpees are still on my mind. But I really want to build some back and shoulder muscle, so the push-ups have won out for now. I do think I should do burpees at least once a week just to see how many I can do, that’s fun.

Hey Brad, I was wondering where’d you gotten off to.

Tim, I over used the elliptical and broke the thing. Well, it was probably Hubby, he exceeded the weight limit, but we can’t seem to find one rated for him. So we bought a treadmill that was. The plan is to get one that used to be in a gym and was refurbished. I guess there’s a store in Memphis, but they’re not cheap. So soon, I’ll get to have twice as much fun!

If I seem scattered, the kids are still here from the sleepover. Instead of 2 sleeping over, it ended up being 3 (a neighbor girl came over to play, and well, what’s one more at that point). I think we officially scared Jenn out of ever wanting kids. It was loud, crazy, and my house is destroyed. But they had fun. We painted t-shirts and made jewelry, there are beads everywhere.

And luckily Webkinz is working again! Thing is moodier than a pregnant alligator. OK, I’m surrounded, gotta go!

Bree
