Day 42

Rest Day. That’s right, I took a rest day. ANd boy did I notice the difference today. I felt so much stronger and the cardio felt so much easier. Yes, I know that you guys have been trying to tell me that for weeks now, but hey, I get it now cheese

Well today was the official weigh-in. It’s been six weeks and when I started I was 287 lbs. My highest weight was in September last year at 294 lbs. Today I am 280 lbs. I am pretty pleased with that.

I have just been listening to the seminar online. It was really great to be able to listen live instead of listening to the replay. Usually they are on in the middle of the night for me but today it started at 7pm my time. Perfect.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what I wrote a few days ago about losing weight starting with being in the mind.  I was listening to a Joyce Meyer podcast and she said that discipline was about getting up and doing the right thing even when you don’t feel like it.  But I have noticed that I have stopped asking myself if I feel like going to the gym when I get up in the morning.  I just go.  It makes it so much easier.  I don’t have to have the argument in my head where I try to convince myself to do the right thing.  Like good old Nike said “Just Do It!” I know that the “revelations” I had the other day were nothing new.  There was nothing there that hadn’t been said by someone else.  The cool thing is that I KNOW that stuff now.  I believe it and I have seen it work.  I feel so excited about this journey right now.  I want everyone to experience this!

Thanks Shawn.

I’m trying to discipline myself to post here everyday.  I’m doing the exercise but I don’t seem to manage to get here everyday and report it.  Oh well, baby steps.

I have no doubt of that, Jo!

P.S.  I loved it when you had “Mrs. Muscles” in your signature line.  My brother-in-law’s surname is Munson and when he was teaching school, some of the kids called him Mr. Muscles.  LOL

Thanks Judy.  Mrs Muscles was a nickname Shawn gave me when I first noticed my bicep popping out to say hello.  I was so pleased with the nickname I added it to my signature.

Helloooo!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so sorry it has been so long since I posted.

Things are going great. I’m still on track with the 100 Day challenge, still working out and am really starting to notice a difference now. But life seems to have been extra hectic recently and it has been hard to find the time to come and see you all. downer

So, the great news is that I have now lost 21 lbs. The scale has been slowly, slowly creeping down but the real difference is in my measurements. I haven’t actually gotten the tape measure out but I can tell you I have dropped two dress sizes!!!!!!! Because my weight has been up and down for the last few years I have quite a variety of szes here (although I only keep clothes that currently fit me in my wardrobe - the rest are sitting on top of the wardrobe and the really small stuff is bagged up). So the other day I was feeling like my current clothes were starting to hang a bit. I have always preferred my clothes to be loose because I thought it was more slimming (no bumps). But you couldn’t see any of my new curves. So I pulled down a few things from on top of the wardrobe and was stunned that they fitted and actually looked and felt good. I have gone down from a UK size 26/28 at Christmas to a UK size 22/24. I just can’t believe it. I cannot explain what a boost this is to my confidence.

So today is Day 77, three quarters of the way through the challenge and today was a weight day.

PS People are starting to notice I am losing weight now too. I have kept quiet about what I have been doing but now people are starting to comment grin
