i thought i would share some of my recent experiences with you. i have been quite busy with school (lots of essays to do, never enough time and exams coming up soon on top of it all) but did not want to miss out on exercise. since exercise in the middle of the day always appears to take up so much time, and it takes me fairly long to wake up in the morning, i thought i would use that time to go to the gym.
so i have been hitting the gym at 7 or 8 in the morning...but because i need to go back and do work i leave about 30-40 minutes later already which gives me a 5k run on the treadmill as well as 10 minutes on the stepper.
somehow, this has changed my perceptions of the gym, resulting in far less resistence so that I have been 5-6 times a week and i am enjoying myself tremendously (!!!) so that i actually look forward to going!
now, i think this is due to the fact that i know i dont have to workout forever. so when i divide up the 40 min slot into manageable 10 minute slots, time flies!!! also, early in the morning, my brain is not that active yet and not terribly imaginative when it comes to finding excuses...in fact, most times my brain is still asleep so that i observe no resistence at all!

and the result??? i am getting so much more work done, i am more alert during the day, i feel much better about myself, and i lost some weight! yeeyyyyy :-D
couldnt be more pleased!!!

My hat is off to you Kirsten. I have tried to workout in the morning hours on a consistent basis but my body won’t cooperate with me. If I know that I will not be able to get my night time workout in that day I’ll bite the bullet and get it done in the morning. Interestingly I can not workout to my regular full intensity in the morning. I’m a night-time kinda gal!

It is always great to find something that works for yourself! We’re improving everyday smile
