Sadi, I know how it feels. I’d been sick in mid-January and never fully got over it. I ended up taking the last two weeks off because it just hit me hard and then hit me again. Don’t push too hard when you’re sick. Take the time to recover and you can come back strong. Your body needs the energy to fight off the illness.
Sadi, I hope you are feeling better. I feel it never fails, when I make positive healthy changes to my life, I seem to get sick! I think of it as the fates testing me to see whether I “mean it.” Getting enough rest is a real key, so I hope you’re doing that. Your exercise progress and your enthusiasm are inspiring!—Ann
Thanks everyone, I’ve taken things slow, trying to make sure I get my strength back. I was away from the gym for quite a while, but this week I started to get back into it.
Monday, 45 min. on the arc.
Tuesday, rest
Wednesday, weights, 45 min. on the arc.
Thursday and Friday, rest.
Saturday, 60 min. on the arc.
Instead of going every day, I have been going every other day or less, and my pace has slowed some too. I’m hoping that before long I can get back to where I was, but I don’t want to push too hard, I’ve been sick for quite a while.
Because of some pretty nasty pain, I didn’t go to the gym the past 2 days. But I was able to go today, and it felt so good! I did some light weight lifting, and 60 min. on the Arc, kind of at a slower than normal pace. And I’m getting ready to go for a walk with my husband. It is in the 40’s, feels like spring after so much cold and snow.
For the past several days my computer has been down. I guess I have a bad registry...my hubby is working on it. I’m using my work computer right now, but hopefully it won’t be too much longer now.
Saturday, weights, 60 min. on the arc
Sunday, too busy with church stuff
Monday, weights, 20 min. on bike, 40 min. on Arc
Brandon and Shawn, the spring weather didn’t last long enough, now it is cold and rainy. But it will be back soon, and I can’t wait!!!
