Hey MTMers!
I’m another Australian, just listened to the MTM on itunes and realise I really need this!
3 weeks ago my brother who’s autistic was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma and has a huge tumour in his groin which he has hid from me for all year.  He lives with me and its propelled me on a journey I could not have expected.  I’m in crisis mode and overwhelmed but now he has a surgery date the plan is coming together.  The next 100 days will be full on roller-coaster.  Fitness and activity has always got me together but exercise seems a distant memory.  I have a treadmill, I want to do both slow-burn and HIIT and get back to weights and workout 6 times a week for 100 days.  Please help me up.....

Welcome and take a deep breath!  It sounds like life is pretty hectic for you right now.  You’ll do okay, and I hope your brother does well with his surgery.

As for the fitness, just start slow and in small increments- a little goes a long way!

Welcome, Jane! You’ve come to the right place for support on both fronts you’re fighting! I’ll be praying for you and your brother. Are you planning on joining the 100 day challenge? A journal thread would also be a great place for you to let those crazy feelings out too.

Welcome Jane!

Wishing you and your brother the best of luck with his surgery and your getting up and moving. Take it slow, I remember years ago when 8 minutes was all
I could manage on a treadmill. One step at a time and keeping going is the answer.

Bree’s suggestion of a journal is super. Just the act of writing things down will help you in many ways.
We are here, post when you can.

Today is the best day since 15 November when everything started to unravel.  You all have been amazing, I feel supported and free, to not just lie down and weep, but get up and move!
