Oh, I want to come down to Arkansas! I’m ready! It’s COOOLD here at the moment - 35 degrees. I ran today, outside - a little over 5 miles. There’s this “Reindeer Romp” 8K this weekend, and I’m seriously thinking of giving it a go....(whaaaat?). So, thought I’d head out to the park & see what it was like. It was 38 degreesish, chilly, and getting ready to rain. I may have screwed up my watch, but I *think* I finished in 58:38, which seems a bit long to me. However, it was hilly, and cold, and looooong....but it was SO fun! Ahhh, the addiction! wink Thanks for all the help and kind words!

Where are you at right now? I’m wondering since you’ve mentioned how cold it is up there. Today is kind of bad here, it is 45 and rainy. Tomorrow’s high is 53. Doing an 8K would be interesting. I think I’m going to start training for the Little Rock half marathon on March 2, 2008. Based upon what I’ve seen from my personalized workout plan at Runner’s World I should be able to get in shape for it in 12 weeks.

I’m in southern Indiana right now. *Shivver* It’s 38 degrees at the moment (Uh, yes, 5:38 am....I’m sick in the head for being up now, I get it....OH WAIT - haaaa, you’re up too!), and raining as well. A half, to me, seems light years away - although, that’s what I thought about a 5K, let alone an 8K. So, maybe next fall! wink I’m wondering what to do with myself this morning, as it’s supposed to be my running day - but I doubled up running & lifting yesterday because I wanted to try the 8K outside & rain was predicted for today/tomorrow. Sooooo.....what for today? Hm. Maybe just a walk on the treadmill & a good stretch. Anyway....12 weeks, huh? (Er, nevermind on the time thing - I see that the clock on the posts is wrong! LOL)
