Hi Kids.

I was listening to Scott the other day and heard him mentioning something about “going the opposite direction.”

SO… I decided to put that to the pavement.
Today, instead of going out for Lunch, I went to my favorite “place” in the whole world, on my bike.

I left work at 11:22AM, changed in the car while I was maneuvering down Yellow Creek rd, Jumped on the bike, did an abbreviated loop in “The Valley” 13.53 miles. Changed back into my work clothes, while driving back up Yellow Creek Rd, and Viola.  I’m back at work by 12:31PM, only 9 minutes “late.” I just reminded the boss that since I don’t step outside for a cig break, and get sick less in 1 year than a few people do in 3 months, that 9 minutes was really about as significant as whale poop. He agreed, sort of.

Well any how.

Who else can come up with “Going the opposite direction?”

let’s hear ya!

be good
Frank

Thanks Julie.

Okay.

So it’s 3:53 PM (well it was when I made the decision to ride again [yesterday]) and I’m thinking that since my mileage goal this year of 4K is still 40 miles away and old man winter is very near the front door here in NE Ohio, I better get mo miles in, “quick.”

I drove back down Yellow creek ... you know the rest. And put on 24 more miles, 15 of which were in the DARK. Like deep dark chocolate, mmmm sounds yummy. I don’t usually get spooked easily, but last night I was. It seemed like every car was, well, too close.

Now I only need 16. Does anybody know a nice long stretch of downhill? Maybe I could get to the top, get a push and just coast down. I think I’m going to be done at 4K. Like Gump, when he was done running. I’ve been teasing everybody I know that they may get a call to come pick me up when I hit 4K. From the feedback I’m getting, I think I better ride around the block a few times.

Soon it’ll be “Spinning” time {See PIC} (and if I go to a class, lycra will be the only “scenery.” I hope more people in class have been “going the other direction.” I will miss the sights, sounds and smells from this season indeed.

Back to the point.

I’m still looking for ideas on “Going the other direction.” I did find someone’s cardio routine. It was something like 10 minutes on each machine, 6 machines for a total of an hour. Brilliant.

Please share.
Frank
