I got a nice little note today from Julie (zookie) that has finally got me to jump back into my own little section of the forum:
Your latest thread has me curious, I’d love to know what your workout includes!!! Have you tailored what your father tells you to do to your liking and made your “workout your own”? I know you are a behind the scenes type of gal, but I know folks on here that would love it if you shared what works for you!!!
Julie
I really do miss having the accountability of the forum, but I just can’t keep up with another 100 days thread, so I’m hoping to keep this new journal alive for a good time to come.
Julie…
Oddly enough, I don’t get TOO much coaching from my Dad as to the specifics of my workouts, but I do go to him when I need to change things up. (Hah… I’d probably do a lot better if I DID listen to his specifics, though!)
Lately, my thing is that I like to make sure I’m having fun while I’m working out. I’ve found a bunch of ways to do my LSB without ever going to the gym. Most of that includes some sportsy games like tennis or basketball in my apartment complex, or doing my Yoga Booty Ballet dvds (I’m still hooked!) I just make sure to keep my heart rate pumping and keep my feet moving, and I end up getting a pretty great workout.
On top of that, I’ve been very much a stickler on doing my weight training - “The Firm” DVDs. So far, I’m just doing weights every other day, but it makes all the differnence in how I feel throughout my days, and how I perform in my “fun” workouts.
This week I’m starting to do some AM/PM workouts, and I’m working on my diet again. I haven’t been eating ‘bad’ food; I’m just not paying attention to the calories and portions as much as I should. But not for long!
Besides, I’ve been watching little bits of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” and I’m getting excited about fitting into an itty bitty wedding dress soon - but I’ve just got to get to that itty bitty part first!
