My name is Greg and I have been listening to Scott’s amazing podcast for a month now. The website is just as fun and inspiring.  It gave me the courage to FINALLY join a gym. Which is what I did on Tuesday of this past week.  I am determined to lose the 60lbs. that I have put on over the past six years.  I will just take each day as it comes.  I have enjoyed reading all of the posts on this blog.  Will keep you posted!  Have a great weekend…

Welcome, Greg! Congrats on joining a gym!!! What’s the plan to lose the weight? Do you have a favorite machine there yet?

I look forward to seeing you around the boards!

Thank you , Bree.  I’ve been doing 45 min on the treadmill which, oddly enough, I’ve been able to maintain.  Working and living in NYC you have no choice but to walk almost eveywhere.lol ,I use an incline and pretty much power walk till the last ten min..  I actually met with a trainer today for the free consultation my gym offers.  I am excited at the prospect of getting a trainer.  But baby steps. At the moment Im just making the commitment to go to the gym four days a week.  Ive been reading alot of what other members have been writing, and its been such a confidence booster.  Looking forward to meeting great people on here!

45, minutes on an elliptical will definitely get you in shape. I’m impressed, took me quite a while to get up to 45 minutes. Great job!

Hi Greg! Welcome to MTM. You’ve come to the right place to get all the inspiration you need to keep on moving. Congrats on joining the gym! You’ve taken an important first step. Please take some time and poke around the 100 Day Challenge to see what other people have been doing and while your at it start your own 100 Days Challenge. It’s a great place to meet some of the other members here. Have a great day!

Thank you Emmi and than you Bree for the kind words..  I am just back from the gym today. This is my first time there since Friday.  A serious cold stymied my plans for three days.  But I am back on the tread avoiding all the Halloween candy that is being passed around my office today. lol

Scotts podcasts have been so instrumental in helping me get moving!!  Happy Halloween!!

Hey Greg!

I’m late getting to your party here - I was out of town on vacation when you joined up!

But I just wanted to say Welcome to MTMLand!  I can see you’re already off to a great start.

I look forward to “seeing” you around the forums!
