Day 14 of 100
--------------------------------
Another 4.4 mile run, and 1 mile walk.

As I was running tonight it was quite a beautiful thing.  With a crisp fall breeze whirling, I wasn’t even a mile into it and along side the running path near the tree line there was a doe and her little baby running almost right beside me.  The ran out front of me for about a quarter mile then darted into the trees and down into the river valley.  It was pretty awesome as I was only about about 20 yards from them.  If that wasn’t cool enough on the way back I saw probably one of the most stunning sunsets I have seen in a really long time.  If only I had my camera.  It was pretty awesome!

Hey Kyle!!

Congrats on breaking your 20s!!  And, welcome (of course).  I hope you’re doing well on your 100 days.  Are you feeling better?  I assume you are since you’ve had fantastic workouts!!

Hopefully we can keep each other moving in the right direction!  I think I’m on day 16, so I’m not too far from you!

Take care,
Tammy

Tammy, it looks like you are doing rather well yourself!  Made your goal 2/3’s of the way through the period you gave yourself.  Thats awesome!

I haven’t really set a solid goal for myself.  I have said getting down to 200 lbs would be great, but if I am there, why not head back down to my old high school football weight of 180.  I will start with the 200 and go from there.  I think it will be good to have another person here that is on the same page as me when it comes to the 100 days.

I think it’s a great idea to call an audible once you reach 200. You may be happy with where you are at that point!  What position did you play? Sunday’s at our house are designated “football” days!! My husband usually has 3 tvs going in the front room with different games. It’s like our own little sports bar!

As quickly as it’s coming off for me (which is great by the way) I might have to audible.  However thats still a ways away although with another pound lost I am over 50% of the way there.

In high school I played offensive line for my small home town football team.  Football is a staple for me on the weekend as well.  I am a huge college football guy.  I usually am watching or listening to the Iowa Hawkeye games and keeping an eye on Nebraska games as I live in or near Nebraska I have learned to hate NU.

Go offensive line!!  My brother was an O-lineman as well in high school and college. I don’t follow much college football. I do check in on SFA here and there (my alma mater).

You’re over half way there?! That’s fantastic!!  You are moving along.  My weight isn’t moving that fast, but it’s moving and that’s what matters!!

Enjoy your day!

Yeah here in Iowa, where there are no professional teams in the area for quite a number of miles you almost have to appreciate the college game a little more.

Yeah I seem to be through a small plateau that I was on and the weight is falling off me here as of late.  I have down about 4 lbs this week which is excellent.

Day 17 of 100

Rest Day again… spent time running around with my wife.  Need to get back on it tonight.

Is your wife joining you on the 100 day challenge?  I know what you mean about not having a professional team around. My husband is from Butte, Montana where all they got on tv was a couple of shows and the Dallas Cowboys or Los Angelas Rams (at least LA at that time). So, he became a Rams fan!  Which I’m thankful for because I can’t stand Dallas!

Sometimes we need to take a couple of rest days to get back in the groove. I hope you enjoyed your time off and kick some butt on your next workout!

--------------------------------
Rest Day - Helped my father in law put in replacement windows.

Day 19 of 100 - Moving Again!
--------------------------------
Ran 4.4 miles in 43.5 minutes.  I fought through a pretty intense side ache for about 3/4 of the run so I am pretty happy I made that time.  What causes side aches?

Nah, my wife doesn’t believe in things like this, which is too bad but to each his/her own right?  Most people think it bizarre how interested Iowa and Nebraska fans are in college football, I think you just have to have grown up in an area like this to understand how we live.

How are things coming along for you?  I was freaking myself out over the weekend I was down to 220, then over the weekend with no workouts and oh no....pizza I was up to 227 as of yesterday.  I know some of that is weight fluctuation, but jeez...that freaked me out.  Back to the diet!

Well, maybe she’ll join you here and there!  7 pounds from pizza?!  I’m sure quite a bit of that was water weight. You know how much sodium is in a pizza?!!

Besides, you have to treat yourself now and then. It’s all about moderation and staying the course!

Keep it up!

Day 20, 21, and 22 of 100
--------------------------------
Good grief, talk about life getting in the way.  We almost bought a new car, which took the better part of two of my nights the past few days.

Good news is that I am back down to 222.

Almost bought a new car?  Yeah, that eats up a lot of time. Those sales people like to talk!! I’m glad to hear you’re back down!  I’m sure you’re excited about that as well!

Hit the Weights!  Did about 45 minutes of upper body strength training followed up by a quick 10 minute mile on the treadmill.  Would have loved to do more, but had a prior commitment.
