Good afternoon everyone, my name is Kyle and after recently stumbling on and listening to Scott’s podcast I decided to make a change. I had already been doing semi regular workouts, but wasn’t’ eating well, and wasn’t keeping the exercise regular primarily due to motivation. No more!
I am a 230 lb 26 year old male and with Scott’s help I have already lost 10 lbs, and hope to knock off an additional 20-30 or maybe more in the coming weeks/months.
Currently my workouts have been consisting of runs of about 2.25 miles which I have been completing in about 22 minutes, and have been mixing in some 4 miles runs as well at approximately 45 minutes. I anticipate mixing in some free weights again as well as the fall turns to winter and my workouts have to move indoors.
I will be updating my progress from time to time; it’s exciting to be so motivated about myself, my health, and my image.
Hi Kyle!!! Welcome to MTM land and the 100 Day Challenge!! It is awesome that you have dropped those 10 pounds and have formed a great determination to get your health in order.Updating your “daily progress” will give you a bit of an advantage just based on the accountabilty factor. Like in Scott’s podcasts, just keep it day to day, keep it simple, and cut the drama out. Looking forward to hearing about your successes!!!

I live across the street from a biking/walking trail and that happens to be the rough distance to the particular landmark that I tend to run to and back. no other reason than that. I am trying to work my way to that 4 mile mark each time.
It’s rainy and cold here today, motivation could be at a low level just because of the weather, but I am on top of it, and I am on my way out the door for another run.
Well, i am muddy and soaked but I just wrapped up a four miles run in about 44 minutes, which is a full minute faster then my previous 4 mile runs.
I felt really good while running today, probably the best I have felt in a long time, which is hugely exciting on a Monday! Hope everyone else is having as good a workout on their Monday as i had take care!
Got in a short 1.25 miles yesterday, but was faced with the fact that I need to tend to the muscles/tendons right above my ankle as they were giving me problems.
Had to walk the rest of the way back.
Good morning everyone, just wanted to give a quick update as I am beginning to feel I am failing my 100 days already. YIKES.
Well the fact is that I had an ankle injury that I was taking a few days of to let heal, about the time that which was around Thursday, I began to bring on a great and wonderful head cold. So now I am trying to kick that. I think however I will be out on the running trail tonight for sure.
The good news is despite my recent lack of running I lost an additional 3-4 lbs breaking the 220’s down to 226. YAY! Haven’t seen those numbers since high school and college.
Day 7 of 100 | Back on track!
--------------------------------
40 Minutes of Cardio in the form of a 4 mile run, and feeling awesome! Might have to add another mile next run!
Thanks! It was amazing the 2nd wind I achieved when I hit the half-way point, hit the lap timer on my IPod and saw the number left there. I felt really good about myself!
Take care of yourself. I’m sure that new shoes with the right kind of support and cushioning will help. Think of it as a reward for all the work you will be doing.
