I just started the start moving, stay moving program (a little late!).  I have to say I’m excited to hear the podcosts every morning!  I’m in Texas and have a goal of losing about 75-80 by this time next year. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and hopefully get some support going!

Take care!

Hi Tammy,

Welcome to the forum.  You may want to start a thread on the 100 days.  It is a good way to meet everyone.

What are you doing for your moving?

Once again, welcome to the forum.

Howdy, Tammy!  (I’m another Texan so it’s okay for me to say “howdy!” LOL)

Where in our great state are you from?  I’m in Houston.

I’ll bet you’ll love the SMSM program.  How about setting up a 100 Days of Exercise Challenge thread for yourself to track what you’re doing with that program?  It’s pretty incredible how helpful it is to have that daily accountability and get all the “atta-girls” when you post what you’re doing.

Anyway ... just wanted to say “Welcome!”

Welcome Tammy! Your goal is definitely attainable, what’s the plan? I just really like to hear what everyone else is doing.

Welcome Tammy! We are here to support you every step of the way to help you reach your weight-loss goal. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Be sure to read up on what some of the other folks here have been doing. It is very inspiring and will help you kick start your own 100 Day Challenge.

Hi Everyone!!  Sorry I haven’t responded until now.  I got a little busy this week! In any case, it’s good to be back.

M, I usually ride my bike in the afternoons. I know Scott says he would prefer us to move in the morning, but I am not a morning person and I already have to get up at 4:30 as it is to get to work. However, I’m going to try to get up at 4 this next week and see if I can fit my workouts in in the morning. It is so hard to get my butt moving in the evenings after work!

Judy, I’m from Conroe!!  Not too far from ya! It’s nice to meet you!

Bree, well...the plan is rather simple. I have a few goals that are more short term than long term. I don’t do well with strictly long term goals!  So far, I’ve reached most of them. I’ll outline them here in a moment.

Emm, it’s so good to hear from you! I am really surprised at the amount of response I’ve already received on the forum!

Okay...my goals:
1) Listen to the shows everyday
2) Work out at least 4 times a week
3) Work out an hour on Saturdays
4) Watch my food intake
5) Lose a specified amount of weight per month

So, I figure if I keep my eyes on those goals, I’ll do well! Before, I would think “Exercise for an hour???? Yeah, right!” But I have to admit, today was the first day I exercised for an hour straight (riding my bike) and I felt great afterword! Everyone says you get energized after working out, well, that’s never been my experience. I’ve always been tired and exhausted after workouts.  I honestly didn’t think I’d be able to go for an hour, but I made it and I felt a surge of energy. It was a big burst, but it was a lot more than usual. So, maybe I’m just not working out long enough!!!! Never thought I’d say that either!

It was great to meet you ladies! Now, it’s time for me to go start my post in the 100 days!!!!  See y’all there!

Hey Tammy!

Conroe is just up the road!  I try to get up to Morehead’s Blueberry Farm every June or July and pick blueberries.  That’s about the only time I venture near Conroe!  LOL

Welcome, Tammy!

The 100 days of exercise is not too hard.  It’s actually fun to motivate yourself with the 100 day goal.  I’ve done it once, and I’m working on it again.  However, I haven’t been giving my reports as frequently as I would like.

Hi Jeff, Michele, and Suzzy!  Nice to meet you all!

Judy....I’ve never heard of Morehead’s blueberry farm!  I’ll have to look it up. I’m originally from North Houston (Spring) so I’m more familiar with that area. My husband and I just moved to Conroe not too long ago.

Hey Bree!!  Nice to see you here too!

Okay, I’m always crunched for time (though it seems) so I’m going to move over to my 100 day challenge. I hope to see you all there!! It’s easier to try to stay up with one thread!!

Have a great night!
