Hi All,

I’m starting a new thread, because as of Tuesday I will start my third 100 days!  Wow!  I looking forward to my next 100 to bring even better health and fitness, and continued reshaping of this frame of mine, and frame of mind.  I’ll be working on a new avatar (it usually takes me awhile).  I know tomorrow will be busy, so I’ll probably check in again Tuesday morning.  Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Thank you, Emmi, Jill & Shawn!  I feel great, I went to my Martial Arts class and did a LSB with Ginger (it’s Ginger’s 2nd Birthday today!), and tonight will do some exercises here.  I also lost another pound!  I have my yearly check-up tomorrow, and I’m pretty sure the doctor will be happy with my progress!

Have a great evening,

Hi all,

Thanks Kiki, Shawn & Emmi, I actually posted the new avatar without a hitch this time!!!  surprised  grin

Kiki, so nice to see you in my thread!  Funny you should ask, I was thinking the difference in my mindset since 6 months ago.  It was a gradual turnaround, but really when I started to focus and integrate this into my thinking was during the summer when my work schedule eased up and allowed me to focus on how I wanted to feel and what I needed to do to get there.  After taking those steps (and repeating), it just became part of my thinking.  It took a few weeks, and then “the click” happened.  I feel it getting more engrained into my psyche and routine day-by-day, and the old mindset is history.  Thanks for asking!

Yesterday was a work day, so I spent 4 hours in my music studio prepping, and 3 hours at a rehearsal, but managed to fit in two hilly walks.  Today’s another busy one, but I’ll fit in some exercising here.

Hope you all are having a great day - I’ll check in on your threads.

Do you play with an orchestra? Is that your day job? Just curious. Any I have to tell you this again… there is no way you are 50! You look to darn good! Is it the California air, or something?

Hi Shawn,

It’s always so nice to see your smiling face in my thread!  Thanks!

Emmi, I forgot to answer your question about work, yes, I play in several orchestras here in the Bay Area, and that is my “day job”, except that most of the rehearsing and performing is nights and weekends.  So I end up doing the prep work, practicing and studying the music, during the day when the kids are at school.  This explains the dust bunnies in my house at various times of the year!  I also have private students that come three afternoons a week after school.

Yesterday I did toning and strenghthening exercises here.  I extended the session, and it felt really good.

TGIF all!

I suppose I could have read your profile again but that would have been too easy!  rasberry

That’s very cool that you play the violin. That takes years of practice, dedication and love - some of the same principles that one needs to use to lead a happy, healthy life. I admire that in you, dust bunnies and all!

Hi Emmi & Shawn,

Thanks!  Emmi, you are so supportive and uplifting, I really appreciate that about you, about both of you actually!  It’s been a busy work weekend, continuing today with rehearsal in the a.m. and concert at 4:00.  Plus I have to do some practicing before I leave this morning.  I have been able to fit in several sessions of exercises here, and also took a LSB with Ginger last night, the last 30 minutes of which were in the dark, and I forgot my flashlight, so I had to walk kind of slow the last part of the walk.  The best exercise is the first half of the walk going uphill, so that was fast and furious.  I saw the most gorgeous sunset at the top of the hill (that’s one of the payoffs), and watched it as I walked down, until it was completely dark, with the stars popping out one by one.  Beautiful.

Hope you’re all enjoying your weekends.  I’ll check in on your threads.
