Hi there!

I believe we do have a decent amount of crossover members with FlyLady.  Her name has certainly been mentioned around here in the past.

Cheers,
Julie

Hey Bree,

How are things going with this challenge. I see it’s been a few months since a posting from anyone. I LOVE this idea and actually have tried it a few times in the past month or two since taking charge, and accountability, of my life.

Can I invite you and/or any of the others to get into the challenge again? I had been pretty busy over the past 2 weeks and was away last weekend and the place got pretty cluttery. What a difference in my mental state when my space is messy and cluttered vs. when it is tidy.

I have found that I have more energy to do my 10 minutes in the morning and it takes less effort. And then when I come home from work the place is more tidy which helps perpetuate more positive energy.

I’m putting on my ipod, listening to yesterday’s Boost and putting in my 10 minutes right now. C’mon, who’s with me? I RE-Challenge you! wink

The things that are cluttering my mind are not a 10 min type thing - maybe I should give a one hour time limit to deal for the first few days then take it from there once I get the ball rolling.

Hi Catherine,
Yes, I had let things accumulate a bit myself. To be honest, yesterday I did spend a few hours in the morning getting caught up on housework and laundry etc. But now I should be able to maintain it with the 10-minute plan. When I take the few minutes to straighten up in the morning before work it is sure nice to come home to a clean environment. It helps to keep me from ‘slumming’ it in the evening. (when the place is already a bit messy I tend to let myself be lazy when I come home and just add to the mess, but if it is tidy I am more inclined to put things away properly as I go along.)

Just did my 10 minutes while listening to a repeat episode of The Boost and finished folding the clean laundry. (it spent the night on the couch and could have easily lived there for a few days)

I didn’t elude to what was cluttering my mind… it has nothing to do with physical clutter (but that can be an issue too!).  It has more to do with getting a move on in my career - I have been dragging my feet as far as moving forward. I have to quite my current job and apply for new ones.

Back it today.  Finished folding laundry and put it away and straightened up the place so it is nice and tidy when I get home.  Yeah.  May be 10 minutes late for work though.  Yeesh! red face

Yes it is sure nice to have a tidy home to come back to. As soon as I finish this post I am spending 10 minutes in the kitchen. Just the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and freshly wiped counters will make a huge difference!

Thanks for the idea.
