Very cool!  I’ll bet your recipes taste a lot better than Gatorade (Ick!!!) and cheaper, too!

Thanks for posting the recipes, Shawn! grin

Actually Judy there was an interesting debate on cost of these drinks in Christina’s thread, my take-Gatorade may be slightly cheaper, but the drinks are 10x better for you!

Here’s the link Shawn gave me.

http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-99342.html-more

Just so that you guys do not have to bother about looking around my thread, 20oz of gatorade made from the powdered formula (in half strength) costs around 4 cents. I tried 0.5 cups honey, 0.25 cups lemon juice, and some salt, and 20oz of that is around $0.20. So the homemade version is about 5 times as expensive as powdered gatorade.

If cost is a factor, go with the gatorade formula. If not, the homemade recipe is always healthier.

Another thing. The honey in the formula is the big deciding factor on how much the drink will cost. I buy honey in the gallons at wholesale price, so it’s relatively cheaper than those little squeeze bottles in the shape of a teddy bear. tongue wink
