Fantastic link, Judy.  I’d actually been trying to do a similar project (without pictures) a while ago, but this is done so much better.

Cheers,
Julie

50 grams of Splenda is 200 calories? I thought it was calorie free. Anyway, a quick peek at Calorieking.com shows that 50 grams (1 packet = 1 gram) is 100 calories.

That’s weird.  You’re absolutely right.  When you look up the packets (which are shown in the photo) it shows 100 calories for 50 grams.  But if you look up Splenda granular (not packets), 50 grams shows up as 200 calories.  That’s bizarre.

Thank goodness I have no plans to ingest 200 calories worth of Splenda at one time!  I might get confused!  LOL

Actually guys… it’s interesting, but things that are advertised
as calorie free don’t REALLY have to be calorie free, according
to the FDA - they just have to be under 5 calories for one serving.

I know, it shocked me too… I spray Pam on my Egg Beaters like
it’s my job… but I’m really racking up calories every time that I
do it!
