Hi Traci,
What part of Houston are you in? I live in the Galleria area and work over near the Astrodome (I don’t think I’ll ever say “near Reliant Stadium!")
It IS ridiculous that it’s already into the 90s and it’s only June!

There is still a slight hint of coolness in the morning breeze but it is fading fast.

Hi Judy. We’re all the way out in the Cypress area. If I can help it, I only drive into town when I’m headed to Nordstrom. Just kidding. We definintely have a slower pace out here in the suburbs, though.
Have a nice day, Y’all!

Brad,
You should consider running the Houston Marathon. It’s one of the better ones. I’ve done it twice.

I’m originally from Amarillo.
But now I live in Australia, which btw, is a LOT like Texas in attitude & climate.
I’m a dual citizen, so I can still claim Texas. LOL!
You guys do know there are only TWO kinds of people in the world, right? Texans & those who wish they were.

I lived in the Galleria area (Candlewood Inn just off Westpark and 610 loop) of Houston for a couple months before moving to Sugarland. I spent 2 years there. Pulled the plug after Denis, Emily, Katrina and Rita ... Rita was the kicker.
There was an amazing BBQ place on Kirby called Goode Company BBQ. We would go there for some brisket and jambalaya and then head across the alley to the Armadillo Club for some good live music and JD. I believe that’s when I started to gain weight. There was a seafood place around the corner on Westpark that is made from an old Amtrak dining car. Best seafood in Texas.
