I am a HUGE Collective Soul fan...I love December, any of their newer stuff....I dance on that treadmill, pretend that I am in the front row (don’t worry, I don’t throw anything up on stage, save that for backstage lol)
You Dropped a Bomb On Me by The Gap Band
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
Start the Commotion by The Wiseguys
Switch by Will Smith (good beat)
Synchronize by Tomboy (good for doing resistance training) (Got to like electronic music)
Technologic by Daft Punk
I Like to Move It by Bang Gang
They were playing a couple hours away like two years back. Some friends went. I would definitely go to them because I’ve always liked them.
Another song that gives me a huge rush, if I haven’t already mentioned it, is “Where The Streets Have No Name” by U2. And “Makes Me Wonder” by Maroon 5(I just picked up that album - really interesting direction, and mark my words, “Won’t Go Home Without You” will be a huge hit one day when they decide to release it!).
Brandon---Collective Soul is touring along with the Counting Crows this summer....they will be in my area in July...I own the “Home” dvd of their live performance in Atlanta and it is fantasic. they are a band that sounds just as great live as they do on their albums. Anxiously awaiting their new album!!!!!
“Right Here"-Staind(The personal interpretation I put onto the song was that it’s about my relationship with my oldest brother, for the most part the lyrics fit amazingly well - it blows me away.)
These songs draw out my feelings, and make me feel lighter afterwards. And that’s why they are power songs for me. The next day I can get up and get healthy, because I feel somehow validated and like I’m being totally honest with myself. The beauty of art is that everyone can find their own meaning in it.
And for the Record, U2 is my #1 band of ALL time, I saw their Elevation Tour and it rocked, well worth the $100 per ticket price!!!!! They sound just as good if not better live-and that Bono, phew, what a smart cookie!!! (I swear the guy next to me was brought to tears during the show.....)
Oh man, we were cleaning out the garage today and my mom found my Electrical Storm single from all those years ago, and I loaded it onto itunes and it has “Where The Streets Have No Name” LIVE!!!!!!!
That was a very nice surprise, since it’s one of my power songs.
