Very cool pictures.  I like the spider webs.  I looks like you have a beautiful area to bike.  I wouldn’t complain about having the trail to myself.  I don’t enjoy dodging all the walkers on the trails around Lafayette (California, where I live).  Is that a river or canal there and does anyone paddle there?

Day 3

A day off. Hanging out with mom @ the garden centres.  cheese

Yeah. That’s the Credit River ~ apparently it was an important water body for the natives that lived here for thousands of years.  I’ve never seen anyone kayak this far north of the lake before (I see some fly fishing though sometime), but there’s the Mississauga Canoe Club @ the mouth of the river and Lake Ontario. The Budai brothers (olympians) apparently train down there.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the beautiful pictures from your bike ride!  What a pretty place to cycle.

Your smiling face came to mind while I was on the treadmill this morning.  I was remembering a time (at least 15 years ago) when my nephews were little kids and we were sitting at my parents’ house during Christmas, listening to my mother read ”Too Many Daves” by Dr. Seuss.  My nephews were both just stunned to see all the adults laughing so hard.  (By the time she had gotten to the “Oliver Boliver Butt” line we were all red in the face with tears coming down our cheeks holding our sides with laughter.) They thought it was really cool that their grandpa (my dad) and their father (my brother-in-law) were both Daves!  What a wonderful memory!  LOL

Have a fun today!

Thanks Julie. Wild is our forté. :D. Well looks like Day 3 will not be a day off after all. Why should I stop now? I guess another hour or two of biking never hurt anyone. :D

P.S. LMFAO @ that video. I could identify with a couple of Daves there. AHAHA! I always had a suffix after my name cause wherever i went, there was another ‘Dave’ there.

Thanks and nice to meet you! You’re from Australia *sigh* I was planning on going there around New Years but it turns out there’s no money for that this year confused. Maybe in 2008.

I’m from the UK but have been living here for 2 and a half years so it really is home now! New Year out here is a blast! Where would you visit? If you do make it out here I’d be happy to recommend things to do in Sydney grin

That’s the main reason why I want to be there for...the party and fireworks. I guess it doesn’t have to be that certain time of year, but it would have been great! I’d definatley do the Sydney stay, and possibly go up to the Gold Coast and try (operative word) surfing… Possibly even some snorkeling. I would be on a tight budget so hostelling would be the best thing for me.

And hence ladies and gentlemen, is why I’m here~ I want to look good on the beach. The truth would have come out sooner or later LOL!

Edit; Is it just me or is the clock on this forum totally wack? I have the right settings in the control panel, but it’s at 50 minutes ahead of the local time here? Just a ?

The clock on here is two hours too fast for me… I’ve never really noticed that before! Because everything I read on the internet is US or UK based I’m used to it.

You’d have to go snorkelling in Cairns at the Great Barrier Reef. Doing that (twice now) is the single most amazing experience of my life. I have never seen anything so naturally beautiful before.

Let me know if you decide to come over, I’m sure between us me and Fi B can recommend plenty to do on the east coast!

Hi Dave,

Try setting the time again.  It took me several tries to get it to match.  Great job so far and love the avatar with the day in it.

Ill try setting the time again later.

My mantra this morning has been “Water off the duck’s back, Water off the duck’s back.” This morning has been a marathon and a half already. It’s amazing how one bus driver can screw up your day.  Anyhooo…

Day 4 is here and the gym is calling ~ will update later.

Thanks M for the avatar compliment.

I also wanted to thank all of you, especially if I haven’t responded to your comments. Too much reading. I guess there’s no rest for the wicked.  cool smirk

Hi Dave,
I’m late getting to your thread but I still want to say welcome to the challenge. It looks like you are well on your way and that the Motley Crew have already been kicking up in your thread. You can always count on Shawn and Tim to keep things interesting. I enjoyed your pics. Have a great journey.
