Calories according to my HR Monitor: 437 (That doesn’t make sense. Is that really possible?)

Yeah...its possible.  I get the same numbers when I use a HR monitor with my weight workouts…
Even my trainer was shocked.
Glad to see you’re doing well!

Hi everyone!
I’m still alive, just VERY, VERY busy with work and wedding plans.
I’m still working out and moving as much as I can during the week.
For the record, I’m at:

DAY 227

My Bridal Shower is this Sunday! I’m very excited! I LOVE presents and I’ve been waiting for this since I was a kid!
Wedding, here I come!

Where has the summer gone?
The shower was soooooo nice. My sister did such a kick-butt job getting it all together. I received so many wonderful new things and now I have to find homes for all of them. My Fi’ was complaining the whole time about how we don’t need anything but once he got a good look at the loot he settled down knowing full well that he gets to use all of it too.
Here’s a run down of what I’ve been up to lately. I know there’s a lot of nothing days in-between. I kind of got out of the habit and it shows in how my pants are fitting me lately. I have just been so busy. Too busy for the gym, too busy to post and completely wiped out yet still running myself ragged. We’ve had several weekends full of various activities. The prior weekend we went camping at the annual Reggae Fest so there was lots of walking there. Unfortunately it was too cold to swim so there was no cliff diving this year. The weekend before was lots of boating, lots of walking and motorcycling. Last weekend was the bridal shower. This coming weekend we are going canoeing. Whew! I just have to get up early to hit the gym, I guess. It seems that that’s the only way I’ll get exercise regularly in and my dress alteration appointment is right around the corner. Wedding will be here before I know it!

AUGUST 11 DAY 223
Elliptical:

35 Minutes
2.5 Miles
487 Calories

AUGUST 12 DAY 224

Walked to meet my girl’s at the home establishment. It was Tuesday after all.

AUGUST 13 DAY 225
Gym plans derailed.
Went for a long motorcycle ride instead.  smile

AUGUST 14 DAY 226
Nothing but play.

AUGUST 15 DAY 227
Nothing but play.

AUGUST 16 DAY 228
Did a bunch of Yardio followed by Hardio and Laundrio

AUGUST 17 DAY 229
Shower!!! I broke 3 ribbons!  grrr
Does carrying all the loot to the car and then carrying it all in my house count for anything?  wink

Back in the groove:
AUGUST 18 DAY 230
Elliptical:

46 Minutes
3.9 Miles
620 Calories

AUGUST 19 DAY 231
Rest - Tuesday’s are my official Girl’s Night Out with my gals.

AUGUST 21 DAY 233

Weights:
Chest Press: 40# x 10, 20# x 15, 10# x 20
Incline Pec Deck: 30# x 10, 20# x 10
Had to cut a bit short in order to get ready for work.

Tonight it’s dinner at Mom’s and then stop in at the Eagles club to sign up for the weekly drawing. Tomorrow it’s back to the gym at 5AM. I’ve got to get to the gym this weekend - both days!!!! I want to go strong all week and make my Tuesdays my regular rest days. I’m gonna try my best - no less. Another project I’m working on is addressing all the invitations and stuffing the envelopes. I’m about half way done and my goal is to have them all ready and the shower thank you cards done to mail out by next weekend. I can’t believe how time is flying by! There’s still a few details left to complete but they are all minor. See ya’ll tomorrow.
Have a great day!

You HAVE been a busy girl.  Nice job on the workouts!  I’m so happy that you have a wonderful shower.  Don’t listen to your Fi.  He’s a guy.  They don’t appreciate those things.  I can’t believe the wedding is just around the corner.  The summer has flown by.  I’m sure you will be a gorgeous bride.

You’re doing so good! And congrats on the upcoming wedding. How fun to sweat with the future dh. You will look so awesome by October. It motivates me to read your routine and see what you (and others) are doing. I can refer back when I am feeling like I need a change. Keep up the great work!

Thanks purpleposy and welcome to my thread!

I never made it to the gym this weekend but I did get movement in none-the-less.

AUGUST 23 DAY 234
Canoeing

Rowed for 1.5 hours

Later on:
Powerwalk
20 minutes

AUGUST 24 DAY 235
Rest Day!

The Saturday canoe trip was fabulous. It took place at a local reservoir and we had a guide point out the different bird species and wild life. It was such a gorgeous day. Sunday I went to take care of my girlfriend all day long. She was in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon the day prior. The other person went left of center and hit her dead on. Thank goodness she was wearing her seat belt and is alive and able to talk about it. The other driver was on the phone, of course. She’s going to be black and blue for awhile. I hope that other woman has to pay her fines for the next 10 years and has to give my friend a huge lump sum settlement. Her car is totaled!
Tonight it’s back to the gym!

Looks like you had a good weekend.
Fun.

AUGUST 25 DAY 236
Had to tackle the house after work last night so I spent my evening cleaning. So I swept, mopped, vacuumed and finally put the laundry away. I never ate any dinner so at least my calorie intake was right on track. As much as I would have rather been at the gym I’m glad I got my chores done. Sometimes you just have to do that.

AUGUST 26 DAY 237
Gym: 5 AM
Elliptical:

35 Minutes
478 Calories
2.5 Miles

Weights:
10 Minutes
129 Calories
Back Extensions: 140# 3 x 15
Lat Pull Downs: 70# 1 x 10, 60# 1 x 15 60# 1 x 20

Today is my Fi’s birthday so we’ll be out and about tonight.

Emmi - you’re doing great!!

How is your friend?  You’re such a good friend for helping her out.  Cell phones should be banned while driving - I just don’t understand why it isn’t law everywhere by now!!  Now they are talking about being able to surf the web in your car.... can you just imagine the carnage that will cause!!
