Can you do 100 push ups in a row?

Nope, me neither.  But I’m getting there.  Within two months, that’s my goal.

I found this very cool resource called one hundred push ups that starts you wherever you’re at (even if that’s less than 5 push ups in a row) and takes you through a six-week (maybe slightly more) training program.  At the end of it, you should be able to do 100 push ups.

I just started week #2.

Who’s with me on this one?

Cheers,
Julie

I’ve been considering this for a while now.  I’m in!  I’ll start week #1 this Sunday, as it fits into my 12 week challenge very nicely… wink

Just did the initial test.  I eeked out 12 pushups, so I think that puts me in the high category.  Feeling pretty good about that… :D

This has helped me set another goal. I’m in.

How is everyone else finding it?

I admit, I got to about 2 weeks in and then started up with karate again and dropped the push-ups.  It might be time for a restart!

Julie

I’m in the same boat too.  I started, did one day of work, then dropped it.  I’ve been pushing the weight lifting a lot lately, and I’m just too tired.  That, and the first day my dog kept licking my face as I tried to do them.  That was hard to ignore…

Okay, I got to get in on this one.

I have been doing push-ups for years and I love them. I haven’t done 100 straight in a long time, I usually do 50 or 60 and that’s kind of fun.

What has been more fun is watching Joi work her way up to 100 push-ups. What makes me laugh is that she’s been doing it in secret behind closed doors without telling me. But she’s doing it!

The only challenge she found was trying to do them while keeping up with her regular exercise program—her arms are just worn out.

So, I suggested she do the push-ups on leg days so that they didn’t interfere with her regular workout.  so far, so good.

I still think it’s going to be sometime before she does 100 push-ups, but she’s working at and might I say, getting very strong.

That’s a very good point.  I was concerned because when I tried it, my arms were tired.  Today I did my chest and biceps.  So tonight is probably a bad night to start… smile

Well ten days in and it’s getting a bit better.

Is definately easier to do them on a morning.

Keep it up everyone

Okay, you’ve all got me excited and I may restart again.  Let’s see if I can get as far as week 3 or 4 this time, huh?  *grin*

Cheers,
Julie
