I think it’ll definitely help with your running. Even just the bit of stretching I do adds ease to my flexibility and makes me a little less stiff. Now I just need do more after my walks like Scott said!
Brandon, if I can get there, you can get there. You should check out Adam Tinkoff. His podcast is Zen Runner, he has a major ankle issue that he’s overcome and is now training for a full marathon. He’s also on this site, screen name zenrunner. If you PM him, he’ll be more than happy to give you the details and all the encouragement you can handle.
You can, Brandon, I have no doubt you won’t get everything you want. You just have that feel about you.
Sunday: REST DAY
Monday: easy walk, Namaste yoga
Tuesday: 2.5 mile run, .25 mile walk
Ran outside under the stars just after 5 this morning. It’s really so wonderfully peaceful, I don’t listen to anything but the crickets, my feet so steady on the road, and the quiet. I make coffee while I’m stretching after the run.
Wednesday: 2.75 mile walk
Thursday: Inhale yoga
Friday: 3 mile run, .25 mile walk and the fair, now a sleep-over I think running was the easy part!
I did it! Got up every morning at 5! Yesterday it was raining, so yoga it was! I find I’m horridly stiff and laughingly uncoordinated at that time of day.
Yesterday was a perfect day for a long run outside. It was completely cloudy, mid 60s in the morning, and a light gentle breeze. It really called to me. But the 5 sleeping girls on the living room floor kept my butt firmly planted at home. After they woke up, another one joined them. I considered the treadmill, but then I couldn’t hear them (at least not if they were into something). The ages were :12, 12, 10, 6, 6, 6. Today is warmer, so the treadmill will work.
The girls had a blast, we ate crappy food (I still feel like sludge), stayed up too late, and got messy. I slept in today.
Sounds like the perfect slumber party.....I still remember the two slumber parties I went to every year of my young life. August 1 and October 3. My best friends birthdays. We stayed up late and ate junk food, danced and laughed. I remember Mrs. Thurston always made us Lipton chicken soup for lunch the next day. She was so sweet and kind. These are some of my fondest memories. Know that you are creating memories and the treadmill will certainly be there later on today, and it will be calling your name....lol. You can always count on that

I know you’ve probably seen this one (it’s one of my favorites) but I figured I’d put it here on your thread for motivation.
I ran last night at 8:30, got to bed at 10, shut off my light at 10:30. The alarm was not welcomed this morning, but I got up anyway. I’m determined to make this work.
Thanks everyone! Last weekend wiped me out, it was fun, but the cold I wasn’t getting caught up to me. So…
Tuesday-Friday: REST DAYS
I feel like a sloth. And my sinuses are still very dry, but I can’t take not moving anymore. I’m thinking about putting in eye drops and just going for my long run anyway. That or yoga today and my run tomorrow. I have housework to do, so probably that and yoga. What I’d like to do is go shopping. I need new running shoes, jeans, and I want a HR monitor that continuously checks your pulse for a better feel. The one I have right now you have to press and hold a button, I’m not as coordinated at 5am, so running in this position is awkward. And if I do it for any time, I know my HR gets elevated.
