I forgot to mention in my posts that in each section of the triathlon, I dedicated it to Sheryl.....thought of Scott and the kids with her on Friday (for Christmas).....she is in our hearts, and was a part of the Tinsel Triathlon in Hemet CA this weekend....
I have to admit.....when I thought of her....I went faster!!  (must have been something in the exercise drink I was drinking) smile

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

Okay, an update.....towards my tri

When I was riding my friends ‘borrowed bike’ yesterday, I was feeling very good and wondering what a better bike would be like, I imagined riding the one that was on sale at Performance bikes that I had my eyes on.....

When I got home from work today, and told my wife about what I had been ‘dreaming’ about on the bike, she said I should just go out and get it, that I had ‘earned’ it......(she didn’t have to say it twice......I was out the door in seconds)....

Wow.....my reward came early....and I don’t have to pay for it for 6 months.....(i’ll just save 330.00 per month and pay it in full!)

So the new Fuji ‘Team Pro’ is in my living room (hmmmm does it add to the decor?), but it’s raining in San Diego tonight, so no riding until tomorrow… red face (that’s just RUDE!)....

I wieghed the bike, and it’s 6 lbs lighter than the Canondale I have been riding (it actually LOOKS fast!) LOL

just some exciting news I wanted to share!

That’s almost painful to hear about, Tom. You get your dream bike, and can’t even ride it. At least you have it, and you’re going to be flying in no time. But that really sucks.

There ought to be flames shooting out of the back of that bike!

Too cool, Tom!

Had to work late, but did get some ‘aero bars’ for the bike and some very nice carbon pedals… with a great ‘computer’ which measures my cadence, MPH, distance, odomiter, high speed, average speed (and a couple more things).....

Rode it around the cul-de-sac........up the street....maybe I need to get a light? LOL wink

I think you should definitely get a light, and a reflector vests so you can get out there and ride during the week.  And Saturday is only a day away wink
