Monday
Yay....I’m back from my disappearing act.

I skipped my regular Monday yardio cuz my yard didn’t really need it.  It was a pretty cool night, so I went for a 40 minute walk/jog and worked up a good sweat.
I was going to give in about 20 minutes into the outting, but I remember the rules of the long slow burn and stayed out for another 20 minutes....it gave me an oppurtunity to catch up on some Fitness Boosts.

The bad thing about jogging the neighborhood on a Monday is that Tuesday is trash day so everyone has their trash cans pushed to the edge of the streets.  Peee---eeew.

Off to the shower now, then to grill some chicken with chimmichurri sauce and veggies.

Have a great night, all!!

Well, the smells should help you add some sprints in! Good job on getting back into it, I know how hard it is to do that. But then, its just coasting.

Lovin’ the pics, btw.

Hi Chad!

I’m just getting back into the swing of things too after a little bump in the road, so what do you say we do this together!  You know, i think it’s a little easier then starting out the first time.  It’s good to have you back - and kudos on the weird bar thing, you handled that really well.

I have to know.. what’s chimmichurri sauce?  Hmm, must be getting close to lunch!

Hey, Jill...I saw that you were back yesterday.  Welcome back.
Chimichurri is a Cuban/Argentine style of pesto - usually made with garlic, jalapenos, olive oil, lime juice and cilantro.  At least thats what I put in mine.  It’s different depending on which region it’s from.
Lotsa flavor.

Suddenly I feel a cooking show coming on.  I’ll be happy to produce it for you Chad… cause the crew gets to eat!  Jill needs a chair, too!

Wednesday
YAY!
I made it for an hour!!!
That was my goal.  Fiat accompli....
Tonight was a walk/jog around the neighborhood.  I’m drenched in sweat and ready for a shower.
I think I’m going to do the neighborhood thing till next Tuesday and then head back into the gym.  I want to get a groove going before facing the gym again.

I forgot how great you feel after a few days of exercise.
grin
Tonight’s dinner is a simple baked salmon and a lite salad on the side.
Plus I grilled up breasts of chicken for meals tomorrow.
I bought lotsa melons at the store tonight.  I’m on a melon kick.  Yum....
The only carbs I’m trying to eat right now is low sugar oatmeal to start the day and a cup or two of fruit in the afternoon for a boost for evening exercising.

Chad, so how’s it going? Now that I’m back in town, I’m trying to catch up on threads and wondered what you’ve been up to. I am glad to get the bar report. That showed a lot of growth. smile

Hey, Joan…
Thanks for checking in.
I’m doing great.
This week I’ve hit the gym each night so far and I’ve done really good on my eating.
Tomorrow I’m going to go see The Dark Night so it’ll be a rest day.
But that leaves me Thur and Fri to hit the gym as I move into the weekend.

That’s good to hear, Chad. Maybe some of your “greatness” will rub off on me as I’ve been struggling the past few days--which as you know is unusual for me.

I hadn’t heard of “The Dark Night” (sorry) but I just watched the preview. . . . great cast . . . and I actually have liked the Batman movies so I’ll keep it in mind. We watched “The Bucket List” last night which also had Morgan Freedman in it. He’s a compelling actor.

Glad things are going well for you.  Enjoy the movie and the rest day.  My husband and son just saw it and really enjoyed it.

Just wanted to thank you again for your support while I was flat on my back.  I was very touched by your green posts.  You’re a sweetie!
