Just got caught up, Bree and I’m so proud of you. You are an incredible inspiration.  And you’re in my prayers.

Wow 3 mile run- I would of collapsed after a 1/2 mile. My legs, knees, and hips are not a fan of pounding the pavement. Keep up the awesome workouts!

Thanks, Chad. It really has grounded me. I leave the iPod at home and just think and listen to the sounds around me and my feet crunching on the pavement. It’s awesome.

Thats awesome you can do it all sans Pod...I’m sure it really allows your mind to focus on your day.

Good stuff Bree, I don’t like to listen to music when I’m walking, running or riding my bike.

Tuesday: P90 sweat and 1/5 mile tempo run

Had a hard time with the tempo run. I downloaded a cadence podcast, but the beat was too spaced out and then it went crazy with electric stuff and didn’t help at all. I’ve downloaded a few more to try out, figure I have as long as I want to perfect this.

Whats a “cadence podcast”.  Is it just something to set a BPM to run to?

Yep. But the one I tried didn’t seem to have much for a set cadence. I have another tempo run scheduled tomorrow.

I think the Nike+ does that stuff too and you can get an arm bank if you don’t want to use your iPod.  I’m getting more and more away from the pod too when I run.. we’re all getting so zen!  Having said that, there are some tunes that really help me push… try that with your next tempo run!  Great job with your workouts.  Are you still practicing chi running?

If you’re looking for just a downbeat to set a tempo, I can create a WAV for you of a repetitive bass drum or what ever sound you want and record them at different BPMs.  I can loop them for 45 - 60 minutes maybe, probably.

That way you won’t have that pesky music getting in the way.

PM me if you want me to look into this.

Another Runner is sooo funny.. the way Adam just rambles.... in a good way

Great updates...thanks!

For me, i love listening to music while running… and I’ll turn it off from time to time.....but overall its a nice ‘pacemaker’, listening to some tunes I like!
