The sun and I don’t really get along and I’m not allowed to run inside on a treadmill if I want my foot to stay healthy. :(

Hi Jenni,

There are other ways to do cardio beyond running.  Swimming works (many fitness centres have indoor pools).  So does the elliptical machine (which is lower-impact than a treadmill, because your foot never leaves the ground).

Frankly, I’d try to find an indoor pool and go swimming.  Nothing quite like swimming to cool you down in the summer!

Cheers,
Julie

When I started moving it was always at night...cooler temps and less crowded sidewalks/paths. Just remember to wear something bright so you don’t blend in and be invisible to vehicles.

Jenni,
You could come to Vermont, it was cloudy and in the 60s all week.  Although, we are supposed to get sunshine and 70s for the weekend.

Today I took my family ice skating to beat the heat. My young son plays hockey and my daughter loves to skate. It was a blast!
