Walking in the sand is definitely tough. It really works your feet, ankles, and calves. Glad you had a good time.

JUNE 24 DAY 175
Rest Day. Wiped out from the trip.

JUNE 25 DAY 176
Hit my snooze button too many times this morning. I got a splitting headache on top of it so today will be another rest day for me. I’ll be visiting with my sister, who’s in town from California, at my Mom’s tonight and then I got a haircut at 8PM.

I’m still debating on buying a personal training package. It’s quite pricey but I liked the workout that the PT showed me. I wish I had a never ending supply of cash!

For those of you interested I am posting some pictures of my trip in my journal “What’s In Emmi’s Head.” See ya there.

Emmi,

Good to hear that the trip was such a success. Amazing how much moving you fit in too. I am sooooo jealous of your trip...vacation is a loooong way off for me.

Only you know if the trainer will be worth it...maybe you can pair up with someone to split the cost of a trainer? Remember that one from one of the Boosts? I’m with you on the endless supply of cash...I have a wife and 3 boys to care for...that means Jeff=Broke. Broke but happy smile

I got to do some serious number crunching before I finally decide.

Sounds like you need a vacation to recover from your vacation! Try some easy yoga until you feel better. I know you don’t feel right unless you’re moving.

JUNE 27 DAY 178
JUNE 28 DAY 179
JUNE 29 DAY 180

Basically there was no “formal” exercise but there was a lot of movement. With the weekend being all rainy it gave me a chance to get caught up on all the vacation-laundry and getting the house cleaned. So that means lots of stairs and hardio. I just wish I had kept a better eye on what I was eating. It’s amazing how fast calories can add up. So that’s my goal for the week - keep the calories in my budget, get to the gym more days than not and catch up on my daily boosts.

I did an evaluation of my finances and I just can’t afford a personal trainer at this time. There’s no way, especially with the wedding right around the corner. Too many other things I have to buy.

Tonight it’s to the gym and then home for a yummy, sensible dinner.

It’s hard to come home from vacation and get back to eating right.  You’ll do great this week.  Don’t worry about a trainer.  You have done some wonderful workouts in the past.  Are you doing any strength training?  That can tone you up quickly.

I find when I have the munchies or “extra appetite” I have a snack. A small one.  It’s easy, cause I won’t eat that snack until I drink a 500ml bottle of water first.  When I got back from my all inclusive week in Cancun last month, that kept me on track.  Hope it works for you too.
