I hadn’t said, it’s until my summer vacation starts!! I’m looking forward to that, and to the 2 weeks between when I get done and when the girls get done. FREEDOM!!!!

Gosh I miss those days of summer breaks. Lucky you! I’d be counting down as well.

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

OK, I’m apparently a bad mom. Skeeter took hours making this thing for me, and I’ve spent twice as long trying to figure out how to “accidentally” destroy it. The child is usually so creative, in a positive way, and this is my Mother’s Day gift.  grrr  She had been making these really adorable jewelry people, but this is what she gave me.  downer

Any guesses on what it is? I’ll tell you later.

Aw. Is it a swimming pool? Bree, it’s kind of hard to see the beauty in it, but as someone who’ll never get a Mother’s Day gift, I think it’s awful sweet. Maybe in twenty years it will be a cruise or a day at the spa!

Nope, not a pool. I’m thinking I need to save this and give it back to her on her wedding day. She is under the impression that I love it, she put a lot into it. My mom was telling me I was being awful, until I e-mailed her the pics. She laughed and laughed and laughed. I had been saving the creamer boxes to make ice candles, but she asked for them, and I figured why not.

Got my living room mostly clean! All picked up and vacuumed, now to dust!

She has a great sense of color. There’s a positive. Maybe she’ll make you some jewelry to go in it for your birthday?  wink

I put the jewelry box in my room, and last night part of it fell off scaring the crap out of us. Woke up Hubby, I think it’s alive. At least its the gift that keeps on scaring.
