Well you are acknowledging your downfalls and sound like you are ready to get up and take a step in the right direction. I know you can do it. What are your plans?

Yum! Did your body hear about the Atkins and stage a revolt? There are some amazing Atkins friendly ice cream bars out there, have you tried those? I know phase 1 says none of that, but if you know you have it as an emergency option, you may do much better.

Why Atkins? I’ve done it, love it, but love to hear about other’s reasons for doing a specific plan.

Not sure what you mean by stage revolt, but I do know about the carb controlled atkins approved ice creams.  Like you said, they are not suitable for induction phase of the diet.  I went for the ice cream, caramel etc for the superior taste and to drown my stress and to “get it out of my system” or so I rationalized.

I eventually made to the gym on Sat, but was able to get only 30 mins in since they were closing soon after i arrived.  Sunday, today, I got there early enough to do abs, legs and 30 mins cardio.

Why atkins?  Well, back in 2003 I causually tried it and lost 10lbs in about 2 wks so i know it works, or at least did at one time for me.  Over the years my metabolism has slowed do to age i’m sure.  Therefore, i’m going to attack these extra 15 lbs from 2 angles.

While in the induction phase of atkins, on Tues, I plan to start a total body cleanse program that promises to help me shed approx 10lbs in 10 days
