Hey Chad! Just wanted to poke my head in and say hello! I know about the BP meds, but they work themselves out. But preacher curls? I just did them 2 days ago for the first time. I still can’t straighten my arms out all the way.
Hey, Candy.
If you have a workout partner, I have a way to finish up preacher curls that will make your biceps explode.
On your very last rep of your last set, lift the weights to the up position and have your friend pull lightly, but strongly towards the down position...you then give your all to hold the weights in the up position, till you just can’t anymore.
If this is your first bicep exercise for the day, the rest of your bicep exercises will have that much more benefit after this maneuver.
Not easy....but totally worth it.
WED
4 sets of 12 reps of the following
CHEST
bench presses
incline presses
decline presses
pec deck
TRICEPS
rope extensions
tri extensions
tri push downs.
Hey there - just adding my two cents. I wanted to include biceps in my program but my trainer is still focusing on the big muscle groups of the body to build muscle to increase my metabolism. He let me add them to my second program, but reminded me that I didn’t want to develop bigger arms so I don’t push the weight when I do do them. Higher reps with an easier weight is all I do. I don’t want to look like a body builder when I get this “insulation” off my body.
Hey, everyone...before you send the MTM mafia after me...I just wanted to let you know, I haven’t abandoned again.
I have a horrible Staph infection in my knee and I’m been pretty muched couched for a bit.
Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.
ouu… a staph infection does not sound good. What do they have you on for it?? And what is it with knee problems… they seem to be running rampant round here. Hope it heals soon so you can get back at it!!
Yeah. I’m on antibiotics. I have a very high pain threshhold but this has really knocked me on my butt. My doctor’s eyes about popped outta his head when he saw it. Its pretty bad. My doc drew a circle with an ink pen on my leg with the instructions that if it spreads past the circle I have to go to the emergency room.
Yup, my Fi’ had a bad case of that last summer from a cat bite! He was in the hospital for 4 days. Watch that circle and take those antibiotics religiously! Hope this clears up soon.
Here’s an update of my sitch.
My doctor called today. The only pill that can be used is $50 per pill and I need 20 pills.
My insurance doesn’t want to cover it, so I’m in an appeal type process to see if they will approve if the doctor states that it’s the only option.
Other than the pill, I can pay to have a RN come to my house each day and give me an IV drip everyday for 10 days.
The pain in my leg is gone so I might try to go lift weights.
The antibiotics and the infection are fighting each other, so my body is pretty worn out right now. So maybe no to the weight lifting.
