Yes, Catherine! We CAN get beyond this mental block and under the numerical one! One for All and All for One!
I am going to revamp my weight workout a bit this weekend and lay off the knees for a while. Not sure what I’ll come up with instead, but I’m sure I’ll find something interesting...after all my Bowflex does have 75 exercises!
That’s all for today; I’m revamping my weight workout for next week.
I am pleased to report I can look out any window of my house and NOT see any snow! I’m sure there’s still huge piles at the mall where they pile it when they plow the parking lot, but in my little world, it is gone! Hurray!
Ooops! I didn’t realize I forgot to post today! Duh! I’ve cut the squats, found a straight legged deadlift to replace my knee bending deadlift. And added a nice lat row to round out the half hour. But I miss my squats!
I miss my squats too.... but my knees don’t. They are still not co-operating - not feeling good tonight - I think I got back on the elliptical too soon.
But we gotta live with our knees so we have to take care of them!!
I woke up with a killer headache - no way I could walk… I think it was the teriyaki sauce...I knew soy sauce was high in sodium, but didn’t know about teriyaki… there’s always something…
Deb, I don’t know if the teriyaki sauce was from home, but I was amazed when we first started paying attention to sodium to see how much hidden sodium was in some products that didn’t taste salty at all.
It was at home Joan, I usually don’t watch Randy cook, but noticed that he used teriyaki sauce for the stir fry last night. I’m not sure if he always uses it or not, I just happened to notice last night. Yes, I agree, loads of things have sodium that aren’t noticeably salty. Thanks! I’m feeling a bit better today, at least no headache.
Not yet, Emmi. I asked my son if it was OK if I borrowed his bike. He said sure, and then proceeded to tell me all the mechanical things that are broken to watch out for...I decided it sounded like a rolling death trap and that I’d pass on the bike for now. I also have been giving kettle bells a thought, but I don’t really have enough room to be swinging a huge heavy ball around. I’m still looking for other options.
Randy brought me a yoga book from the library, it has several poses I’m going to add to my routine, that should help a little. Haven’t yet decided if I’m going to replace existing poses or just add to the length.
