so my name is bridget. Im 21 and i weigh 278lbs. Im 5’7 so im quite over weight. This is the heaviest Ive ever been in my life so Ive decided to do something about it!
Ive always struggled with my weight and when I went to college, I gained 20lbs my freshmen year. I was fine with that but then Oct 2006 arrived
It was an exciting month, I turned 19, got my very 1st iPod and my boyfriend (ex now) caught me on fire
yes, you read that right. he was working on his truck carborator and it backfired. he had a cup of gas in his hand and he threw it over his sholder. it caught my sneaker on fire which in turn went up my jeans and the next flamable thing it met was the skin of my ankle.
I had a 2nd and 3rd degree burn all the way around my anke, about 4” up. I was on crutches for 6 months and I wasnt allowed to do ANYTHING so I easily gained about 50lbs then.
by the time this past school year started I was about 250lbs. I wasnt in the habit of working out so I stayed not moving and gained another 28lbs.
finaly this semester i decided that wasnt gonna work for me.
I recently joined an all womens gym and I work out for an hour 4-6x a week. Im already feeling better about myself.
