SORRRRRRRRYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve got to start managing my time better.
Quick Update.
I’ve been hitting the gym 4 times a week, but I haven’t really added much cardio back in. I’m on a new blood pressure medicine and while I’m adjusting, my legs are in sooo much pain so I’ve been avoiding the treadmill.
I’m hoping once my bp gets to the level it needs then the pain will go away cuz I need to really step up on the cardio.
Things have been going really well for me....minus the new med.
This week Gym:
Monday I worked out legs and shoulders. My shoulders are shaping up really nicely.
Wed I worked out chest and tris
Friday I will work out back and biceps.
I skipped my Thursday session today cuz of the muscle pain from the meds..
One of the things that has been preventing me from journaling on here is that I’ve been working my butt off. And today it paid off. I got promoted to a project manager at my company. I’m really excited. It’s a direction that I’ve wanted to go for a while.
Catherine - Thanks for the kind words.
And thanks for the mafia relief!!!
Actually - I’m so grateful that the people here care enough to track me down. I’ve been so active in the past, but this year I’m ashamed of my level of activity.
Friday
4 sets of 10-12 reps of the following:
Biceps:
Preacher Curls
Upright curls
concentration curls
Back:
priate rows
seated rows
lat pull downs
No cardio again. My legs are kinda getting better so I’m hopeful. They’ve been so bad this week that I almost stopped taking my meds. It’s been really bad.
But I know that would make Joan sad.
And I really think if I just work through it, things will subside.
And now it’s off to the shower so I can get ready for a night out with the boys.
Celebration fun for all.
I took Saturday off.
I went to a BBQ at a friend of a friend and then had a few people over for adult beverages.
It was a nice low key night.
Sunday: I did 1 hour of Yardio. My yard was in so much need of it.
Now I’m tackling the laundry.
And off to the store later to get my week’s worth of healthy groceries.
Legs
hamstring extensions
calf raises
quad extensions
SHoulders
side lat raises
rear delt extension
shrugs
upright rows
2 types of overhead lifts supersetted.
I feel pretty relaxed after the work out, so I’m going to have a nice quiet night with the new Portishead album...their first in 11 years.
Anyone used to listen to them?
Me likey.
Congrats on the promotion. And yes, you’re right, don’t go off your meds without giving them a chance--and talking to your MD about the side effects. High BP is nothing to ignore. That being said, many people need to try different meds and different combos.
