When I go to the club where I work out, it is never really crowded at all.  It is a club close to work and right down downtown near the baseball and hockey venues.  It caters to the business folk.

Even if it is crowded, I’m flexible.  There is more than one way to skin a cat!!  Sorry, did I say that?  There is more than one way to get your cardio in.

I avoid the gym problems by avoiding the gym!  *grin*

Seriously, when it comes to karate, it doesn’t matter how many people are in the dojo.  I’ve had a great class where it was just me (doesn’t happy very often), and I’ve had great classes where we had up to 15 people.  I’ve also been training at home, so even if I can’t make it to the dojo, I can at least do *something.* Also, I try to take decently long walks (though I haven’t done that so much in the last few weeks)—no need to worry about someone hogging the sidewalk, since you can just walk around them!

Cheers,
Julie

when i used to belong to Bally’s-my main complaint was when people didn’t wipe off their machines...bleh!!!!  It got to the point though that they had so many members and so little equiptment, that no matter what you tried to do, there was someone on top of you or you had to wait.  That is why I decided to invest in a few good machines for home and avoid the chaos.  My machine is “always available” now lol.

I love this thread!  I just joined the YMCA and this is a wonderful subject and I truely hope to learn more.  For now I’ve just been doing the weight machines one time, 3 sets each at a mere 15 pounds, some machines more. No supersets allowed I’m assuming at this time of the year. Now here is a funny but definitely a problem that needs to be solved and quickly.

Wednesday I was on the AB Machine and this Lady hovered over me the entire time. OH MY, MY, MY!  One should never hover!  I didnt say anything to her, but I was so uncomfortable!  Wanted to say “Get out of my space” LOL So now I’m trying to come up with a solution that is tackful and to the point, but in a polite way.  Hmmmm.. any suggestions to that one!?!

Now I cant wait for more Plan B ideas or a salution to my weeeee little problem…
