Among the exciting things that will happen in MTM Land over the next few months will be a complete re-design of the MTM Web site. I’ll be developing a brand new “look and feel”, with new features and functionality to help make using the site a lot easier and more productive for all members.

Here’s your chance to weigh in with your ideas!

Do you have an idea of a feature or department you’d like to see added to the site? Let us know!

Are there other web sites with features you think would be great if adapted to MTM? Show us the URL!

Do you have some favorite sites that we should take a peek at for inspiration? Where are they?

In short, any feedback you, as veterans of MTM Land and other web sites, can offer, will help make this web site bigger and better. And now’s the time to speak your piece, as we’re in the planning phase of the new site.  We’re not looking to copy another site, or exactly duplicate another feature, but inspiration from many creative sources always makes a project better.

Post your ideas here, or send me an e-mail directly at . All ideas are welcome! And if we use your idea, we’ll give you credit, and if I can talk Scott into it, maybe a tee-shirt when we release the new merchandise selection!

Thanks!

Would it be at all possible to add a calorie chart for foods, maybe a calorie burned for exercises, bmi charts, bmr charts. And maybe a heart rate chart. That way I wouldn’t have to “run” all over the internet for the info I want, and I know it’s MTM approved. Be careful what you ask for, Gary.  rasberry

A place where we could keep track of our stats, with charts and graphs, and maybe with before and after (or during) pictures would be nice.

Is it possible to have the site send ALL threads you subscribe to to your email, instead of just a few and then you don’t get anymore till you come back.

There are a couple of ways of doing that and we’ll work it into the system.  For now - you could subscribe via the RSS Feed and have everything send to you.  Just look for the RSS Icon at the bottom of the page for the address.

You mean I can have all the Community forum threads I subscribe to come to my email?  Sweet!!  But clicking on the link just gave me a bunch of Gobbilty goop : (

actually I haven’t been getting any email notifications when anyone posts to my threads...but I’m assuming its just a new server hick up.

Any community thread you subscribe to will be email to you.  Once you subscribe, you can make adjustments in your Control Panel.  The lastest software version we have will limit the email it sends based on whether or not you actually visit the thread though.  It saves us some bandwidth.

The Gobbity goop you’re seeing is an RSS Address just like our audio feeds.  Paste that into a RSS reader and you’ll see the posts.  I use NetNewsWire - maybe some other MTM members can chime in on this one.

Great content ideas! A reference section containing those subjects is an excellent suggestion. It’s added to the list!

Thanks!

Now that’s an interesting idea. Many web sites offer personalization such as this, where your personal information can be tracked and easily available (only to you!). I’ll add it to the list of possible functionality improvements and check out the programming requirements.

Thanks!

Free Online Health - Biggset Loser Australia is one option of that site that I really like. The assessment section is pretty good. (I don’t know if you’ll have to join the forum to have a peek around, but ...) I also like the exercise library & they even have a place for competitions. We just finished a “Biggest Loser” competition of our own a couple of weeks ago.

The site is run by Ray kelly, the trainer to the first Australian Biggest Loser Winner, Adro Sarnelli. (Adro’s on there, too)
