I’m rising 57. First discovered MtM on iTunes a couple of months ago and became a fan.

I joined as premium member on 12 March. Last year I was a tough time and my weight rose to 206lbs. Then a 2 month illness caused my weight to drop by 25lbs very quickly.

I’m now reasonably fit and healthy weighing 180lbs and I’m convinced the illness was a warning to me to make some positive changes in my life. At 6 feet tall I feel that 170lbs is a good weight for me and that’s now my goal for 24 April, my birthday. I will then keep that level and work on my overall fitness. To help me in this I’ve just started the Start Moving Stay Moving programme today. Wish me luck!

I’ve always been very interested in motivational techniques and in my work I do a lot of mentoring. However, I’ve found Scott’s approach really refreshing. The Daily Boost is a fantastic way to have a personal mentor and he has helped me to feel re-energised about my existing goals and to set some new and exciting ones.

I cannot recommend Motivation To Move too highly.

Best wishes to everyone from Sheffield, England.

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!

Hello and Welcome.  Best wishes on your program. You shouldn’t need luck, just a little motivation.  Scott’s approach is definitely refreshing, and his podcasts are addicting.  Keeps us posted on your success.

In the meantime and inbetween time,
Cheers from Calgary, Canada

That’s a good point, Derek, it’s not good luck but good motivation I need. So far I’m on day 4 of SMSM ~ and I’m pleased to report I feel fantastic and it really works.
Cheers
