I discovered MTM shortly after Xmas and a relationship break up and became a Premium member on the 12th Jan. Scott and the MTM team I can’t thank you enough for keeping me moving.  It would have been extremely easy to get stuck in the emotions of the break up and stop moving - Scotts journey of the loss of his wife and his commitment to stay moving and ultimately finding the lovely Joi has been an inspiration to me. If ever those waves of self pity start lapping at my feet I step back and think if Scott can do it then there is no reason for me not to.

I was excercising previously (two sessions per week with personal trainer) but even prior to xmas found my self motivation lacking.  I’m now doing 40mins each morning on my windtrainer and can really notice the difference.

There really are no words for my gratitude to you guys and what you have created here.
You all rock!!!  : )

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

Goals: Well since stopping smoking I have gained 13 lbs (5 kgs) so firstly I’d love to get back to 65kgs (143 lbs).
Ideally I’d love to weight 60 kgs (132lbs).  I’ve bought myself electric calipers and tape measure which came with a body composition program and I’ve converted 1.43kgs (3.2lbs) of body fat to lean body weight in 15 days and whilst I lost .8 kilo (1.8lbs) in the first week I gained it back in muscle then next.... so the weight thing might be a while in achieving.

People need to remember that the scales only tell part of the story. I would have felt very discouraged if after waking everyday at 6am doing 40 mins of interval work on the wind trainer and two personal training sessions per week (one weights and one cardio boxing) I hadn’t lost any weight. But keeping tabs on the composition has given me a clearer picture and kept me motivated.

All this being said though I have dropped 5 cm (1.9inches) off my waist in that time so obviously the whole keep moving thing is working. I’m also doing the 12 hour diet and lots of high quality protien drinks hence the muscle growth.
I really like Scotts vision about looking and feeling world class to attract a world class relationship - so for now thats my goal.

I think my greatest challenge will be when I hit a plateau thats when the podcasts & the forum are going to become invaluable.

Thanks again for your time and efforts I couldn’t do it without you.

So true Penny....

It’s all about how you feel

Thus the quote “How do I want to feel” that Scott says......

We just want to feel great!
