Hejsan,
I just joined the premium membership a few minutes ago after listening to the program through itunes for a while.
My journey back to getting fit started on December 27, 2007 when it clicked after all that holiday food. Peaking at 103 kilos being only 173 cm I have had enough.
I just moved to Qatar from Kuwait where I was almost 2 1/2 years.
Did already lose 10 kilos since December 27 (93 kilos today) but have plateaued for the last 3 weeks, not gaining but just stopped. I’m ok with that, but I want to start moving downwards again.
My ultimate goal is 80 kilos.
My weight loss so far had been possible by the following:
Nike +iPod, Polar watch with heart-rate monitor, Motivation to Move show freebies, Treadmill, weighing myself every day, counting calories and reading labels in the supermarket, only buying food products with labels.
I’ve enjoyed all the podcasts so far; usually listening to them in my car on the way home after work, mentally preparing for my workout.
I don’t know very many people in Qatar yet, especially not people that are health conscious! So I am looking forward to learning and interacting with people in the MTM land I hear Scott talking about.
I love running, even though I have started out walking and been doing some of those long boring slow burns. I’m 38 and did do some triathlons and a marathon when i lived in Manila late 90’s, early 2000.
Checking out marathons at the moment - thinking of maybe doing one in Cape Town in September.
This is a bit about me, time to sleep now and let my body burn some fat. Just did 15.15 km this evening with watching the Chronicle’s of Narnia
On On,
Jarmo
