My husband just told me that my new workout videos arrived today!  I’m super-excited to get home and try one after dinner!

Day 22
15 minutes Walk Away the Pounds with Abs 1 mile
30 minutes Walk Away the Pounds with Abs 2 miles

I feel great today!  I cheated A LOT on my diet, but I worked out extra hard.  I had to get my workout in before American Idol starts.  I hope everyone’s movement is going as good as mine, and I hope everyone feels as great as I do!  3 weeks down!

Day 23: I took a rest day, my son was sick, and that’s an ordeal!
Day 24: Another rest day.  My husband’s grandfather had to be rushed to hospital, so that’s where we were all day!
Day 25: Rest day.  Road trip to see my father in law at his physical rehab!
Day 26: Geez!  Another rest day!  FIL’s 72 birthday.  We were so thankful for this one!

So, today begins a new week for me.  This is my husband’s off week, so I’m REALLY looking forward to getting back to the gym.  I’m also determined to pay even closer attention to my diet.  I got off track for a few days, but I’m back on the wagon!

Day 27
30 minute walk on treadmill
16 minutes on elliptical

I know I’ve been able to go longer on the elliptical in the past, but not all in one shot.  Last night, I was able to do the entire 16 minutes at one time.  It was a full mile, and I felt great! I feel great today, too, and I can’t wait to get back to the gym tonight!

Day 28
35 minute walk on treadmill
16 minutes on elliptical

I sweat so much tonight.  It felt like a real workout.  I felt like a skinny person when I left the gym.

That’s so super Sarah. If you feel like a skinny person and act like a skinny person, you will become that skinny person. Keep up the great job, Skinny!

Day 29: rest day (I worked 22 hours this day!  I was exhausted)
Day 30: rest day (rested from day before)
Day 31: walked for 30 minutes outside
Day 32: walked for 20 minutes outside (it was cold!)
Day 33: 30 minutes on treadmill; 8 minutes on elliptical

Today, I put on a pair of pants that I have not been able to wear in almost a year.  I have lost 3 lbs. since last Monday.  I feel the difference!  I get so motivated everytime I see a change!

Day 34
30 minutes of Dance it Off

The video was so much fun.  But it reminds me of how very little rhythm I really have!  I sweat my butt off, though, and that’s the goal, I guess!

Hey Sarah

It’s was really good to read your thread. I can feel your energy and enthusiasm. You echo so many of my feelings since I started this mission to get fit, and you express it so well. I’m glad your are noticing changes to your body - I personally love the fact that my wardrobe is getting bigger and that I have more choices in what to wear again without having to go shopping.... but eventually I will, as everything starts to get too big. A price I am looking forward to!!

This week I am on March Break so I am really pushing it at the gym (I got a free pass for a week so I am taking full advantage of it!) Monday and Tuesday I did full weight workouts and cardio - almost 2 hours both days - today I am going to try out a different location that has a salt water pool. I’m curious to see what it’s like as I’ve never been in one before. I’m going a bit slow this morning, but just had a tea so hopefully the caffeine will get me going - still want to move, but not quite all out today.

I’m quite impressed that you are so flexible in your workouts, by using videos at home when your husband is working, and getting to the gym on his days off. I find planning my workouts each week really helpful. Sometimes life gets in the way, but if I have a plan I know what direction to take to get back on track. The fact that you and your hubby are on the same mission is awesome. A little healthy competition is a great motivator!!

Keep it up!! You’re doing GREAT!!

Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement!  It was the motivation to move podcasts that helped me begin my journey.  And, everyday, reading the journals of other people, and all of the encouraging posts I’ve received on my own thread, really help make it easier.  I actually WANT to exercise everyday.  Good luck on your journey!

Day 35: I took a rest day.  I was preparing for an EXTREMELY long weekend.
Day 36: walked for 3 miles, or more.  St. Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah!
Day 37: walked for 2 miles, or more.  We walked the beach on Tybee Island, then River Street in the evening.

Even when I’m on a mini vacation, I got my workout in!  I’m almost halfway there, and I’m so excited to really see the results!

Day 38:  30 minutes lower/upper body on Balance Ball

I bought a balance ball kit when I was in Savannah this weekend, and I tried the workout last night.  It kicked my butt!  I didn’t realized how many muscle groups it involved.  I sure did love it, though!  I can’t wait to do that more.  However, this is my gym week, since my husband is off.  I really been looking forward to getting back on the elliptical machine, too.

Hi Sarah,

Just read your entire thread, great going! You definitely have what it takes…
I’ve never used a ball, you seem to like it hu! Maybe I should try it.
I just started my 100 days, but I started getting back on track a few months ago, by walking, slowly and sweating a lot at first.
Now I’m running, slowing down to make sure I do the long slow burn!
My weight loss slowed down but now after TomCarlsbad reminded me about my calorie intake I’ve made some conscious efforts to be stricter. So far so good…

Keep enjoying your workouts!

Day 39:  I didn’t work out!  I laid down to get my son to sleep last night, but I fell asleep too!  Oh, well, I guess it was time for a rest day…

You must have needed that rest day.

I bought a balance ball a while ago but haven’t really used it much, except to sit on and drink my water after doing the treadmill.  I will have to try using it more.

Keep up the good work.
