I am an illustrator and communicator based in Chicago.

Today I am working at home for the first time in my life. It seems my lonley cat, Clifton, is very pleased with this new situation, but also probably dumbfounded as well. “what the hell is he doing here past 7 am?,” he’s thinks aloud.

I found the Motivation To Move thru iTunes, and signed up Friday morning to help guide me thru a very challenging transition from a stressful and unfulfilling advertising job, to a role that occupies the place that has been vacant in my heart.

It is funny that this morning’s broadcast was on personal responsibility. And it’s also funny that the first thing i did when i woke up was to get my health insurance in the right direction.

If I am not responsible for my health (mentally and physically), I cannot follow through with my home-based self-employment. Ah, the power of hyphens.

So thank you for all for existing. Please don’t go anywhere for your sakes.

And mine too.

Enthusiastically yours,

Brian

It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

To tri is to risk failure, not to tri is to guarantee it!
