It’s important to know that at the end of the day it’s not the medals you remember.  What you remember is the process-- what you learn about yourself by challenging yourself, the experiences you share with other people, the honesty the training demands—those are things nobody can take away from you whether you finish last or you’re an Olympic Champion.

I did an elliptical workout last week using a fitpod mix (155 bpm) - it kicked my butt.  My legs felt like jelly after an hour on the elliptical, but during the workout I didn’t even notice.

Paula, I relate!  I did Futuritual for a while last night and it was waaaaaaay too fast for anything but the bike, or at least my short stubby legs(172 bpm).  I did the fastest walking I ever did this morning, with Accelerator (165 bpm) and the music really helped.  I can’t remember if these are from Podrunner or FitPod but they’re both DJ SteveBoy.

This week I’m listening to nothing but John Mayer to get ready for his concert Saturday night.  I’m going to see him in Orlando and I can’t wait.  I’ll be the 30 something woman sreaming in the front row with all of the teenaged girls.

I’m getting lost about all these Fit music sites - they sort of all sound alike.  Someone may have mentioned it before, but here’s one that seems really cool, so I’m going to try it out.  JOGTUNES http://www.jogtunes.com/JTCIntroduction2.html Here’s the explanation on their intro page:

How do you find a set of tunes that matches your unique pace? That’s where we come in. JogTunes makes it easy for you to match your favorite music with your perfect workout.  At jogTunes.com you can find the best songs for your
workout and arrange them into your ideal workout playlist.
The total length of a jogTunes playlist is as long as your workout.
Each song has a beat that matches your pace, and the songs are the perfect length--so you don’t have to go slow or fast for longer than you want. You can go to our Tunes list and select tunes for your ideal playlist (see below) or you can check out our prepackaged playlists. We also invite you to send in your own workout playlists to our Forum and we will add them to our Playlist page.

cool smile
Sweetea, I’m so jealous!  He’s too young for me, too, but that song “Your Body Is A Wodnerland” hooked me from the start.  Have Fun!!!

Suzanne, Shelley and Tom,

This will be the third time I’ll see him.  I saw him in the fall in Tampa with Sheryl Crow and a year or so ago at the House of Blues in Orlando with the Trio.  I loved the Trio concert because it was more guitar and blues and not so much of the Pop stuff.  He’s a wonderfully talented guitar player and I love Steve Jordan on the drums.  I can’t wait.  I’ll tell you all about it on Sunday.

Hahaha—“Soccer Practice” and “Electroboi” both make me laugh out loud during my workout, which is kind of rare, but fun. So yeah, it’s a good way to end a workout, with a touch of absurdity.
