Hey all, Oz here again, with my second crack at this, I basically fell off the wagon last yeah (but I at least go to gym once a week, and if I’m good I go twice) but its not driving me forward to my goals! (of which I have many!) So this is my second try (the other was a warm up!)
I even did up a wallpaper for my computer at work to keep me motivated and moving! (if its against forum rules, ill remove it)
So here’s to day 001 of 100. After all you are what you own.
Welcome back. You didn’t fail, it sounds like you did more than you had been doing. Now you realized that you need still more to get to your goals, so congratulations on taking another positive step towards that.
If you are comfortable sharing your goals, that would be great. It would give us a chance to support you in achieving them, and more. I’ve found that goals become more real when we share them. An idea in my head is only a passing thought, but when I share it it begins to take a form and a life of it’s own, it becomes real. Thoughts become words, words, when spoken become things.
..:: Day 001 ::..
(OK so a started a day later! curse my need for sleep!)
Got to the Gym after work. It actually wasn’t my normal Gym because i was busy in the morning and i would be running later than normal if i went to gym before work. (Note to self, either go to bed earlier or get up earlier) I just say thank goodness for the ability to use my gym card at other gyms! (its a franchise)
also staying away from the soda fridge at work, relying in my big bottle of water
At the actual gym i just did 30 min on the cross trainer and 30 min on the treadmill, not much but its a start !
now to make sure the washing is done so i have gym gear for tomorrow
Thanks for the welcoming words paula9717, Bree and mb94558! Feel free to show that wallpaper off (I do need to stroke my fragile ego )
Paula9717 – I agree with you there when you write it down it becomes real! I just need to write more stuff down then (maybe write down to get a treadmill for the unit I’m in so I have no excuse!)
In regards to my goals!
I am actually still writing all the goals I want to do this year (like do more fire twirling, update my podcast every 2 weeks! and other ones like that but the big ones I have written down so far are these.
The weight goals I want to do so far is get myself to a flat 100kgs (it’s a small but achievable goal)
And since one of my major goals is to get myself more organized I am using Google Calendar and a few other things (portable apps and linked bookmarks over many different computers)
But I Think the main one is the fact that I want to go out and take more photos, since I don’t see myself working helpdesk for the rest of my life. And the weight of the amount of gear I want to take to these lovely nature area might give me a issue, so I’m building up my strength and making sure I can do the long slow burn so when I get to the area I’m not to buggered to see the shots!
There are 3 of the half decent pics i took over the last few moths on this post, to show you some of the quality I’m striving for (and yes I did take all these pics and the one in the poster above.)
I do think i will make the poster a weekly thing though, I have some nice pics and might as well use them for something! Thoughts? Or just send them on to Scott to see what he says
I love that second ocean shot. It looks like a place where I would enjoy paddling my kayak. I purchased a similar photo at an art show last fall. It’s now framed and hanging over my sofa in my living room.
Keep up the great work. Nothing like having inspiring goals to keep you moving. I love the idea of motivational posters, what a great idea for wallpaper.
A day of rest (well when i mean rest i just mean website editing, working, and general busy work!) I do need to get myself some new running shoes, and i mean decent ones , just have to wait until next week though!
i have a PT session in about 6 hours time so i should get some sleep, bags already packed with gear so i can just wake up and go...after listening to the SMSM program though
paula - i like takeing photos so i probely we keep makeing the posters !
PT day today, and he is a evil bugger! haven’t told him om doing the 100 day challenge yet, i want to have about a week under me before i tell him
not much else happened today though, did some more walking but the main exercise of today was the PT session
about 15 to 20 min of circuit, 30 min of weights and 10 min of ab work ...more or less.
..:: Day 004 ::..
Argh! Slept in again, but ill do quite a bit of walking tonight (late night shopping / looking around) in the city, and then meet some friends to relax! After all i work out to go out!
But seriously, i do need to stop going to bed at 2am to 3am though, its not good!
..:: Day 005 ::..
30 Min on the cross trainer and 15 min and the stepper. However i then spent a good 4 hours walking though the botanical gardens taking photos!! so even more lost there!
I love your posters! I’d so buy any of them, but the last one would be gorgeous in my bathroom. Do you have a website? Oh, and I spent a week making my bathroom super gorgeous, and the colors in your photo would be amazing. My living room is a brick red, anything to help that? I’m thinking a huge black and white. (The ceilings are vaulted.) And there is no artwork at all, I can’t seem to find anything that would be right, so they’re still bare, over 3 years later. Help!
