Looks like I’m loosing some in the places I want and gaining some muscle too.
Well, I didn’t sleep well last night and woke up to thunder storms and a headache, so I decided to go up to campus tomorrow and hit the indoor bike during my soap later today. Better than sitting on my butt doing nothing at all. Tomorrow I’ll go for a swim and maybe, just maybe, they’ll have my books ready.
Well, I’ve been training for two weeks now and its going great. I’ve started the BeginnerTriathlete.com Couch to Sprint Run Focused 20 Week program and will start incorporating in the swim tomorrow. I’ve seen some weight loss, an increase in inches in the right places, and a decrease in inches in the right places too. I’m going good and going strong. Keeping a food log is also helpful. I’ve noticed that I’m not always wanting to eat now that I’m focused on a goal. Of course I have no school stresses either and I’ve cut back on sugar and soda (cut it out this week), that’s really played a big part in controlling my eating. I feel great!
Just an after thought. I’m wondering if I should wear my new Nike shoes and wear my Nike+ sensor while I work. @ hours of patrolling the lots on MWF and 4-4.5 hours on TR. It would wear the shoes out faster but it would give me better foots support and log a lot of miles over the semester. I could always replaces the shoes if I wanted this summer once I get an internship if I wear them out. Can’t decide…
I agree with Shawn. Save the Nike’s for your workout and get a less expensive pair at Wal•Mart. I’ve gotten a couple pairs there to use on alternate days. They’re just fine!

I got in the pool for my first official swim training! I took it easy with lots of pool stretching in between laps because my hip was bothering me. But it was great until I got home and in the shower and realized that my necklace was gone. I don’t know if I lost it in the pool or somewhere else. I was so crushed. I have a call in to lost and found and I’ve searched everywhere in the house. I know I needed a new chain because there were some knots in it. I just hope I can find it. I’ve lost 3lbs!!! Wahoo!!! So as a bonus, for every 3 lbs I loose I’ll treat myself to an itunes download! What a simple and cheap treat, plus a great motivator while I’m training.
The Weekend: I took it easy, missed a run, and ate too much, but it was the last weekend before the new semester started so “Oh Well.”

I am exhausted. Good thing I planned my work out for the AM because I would have talked myself out of it. Including the run I was over 10,000 steps by lunch. Since I’m back to work I will be posting my steps now as long as I remember my pedometer. I was actually going to make up Saturday’s run after class, but just couldn’t do it, maybe tomorrow I’ll make it up. First day went well, I’ve got some tough classes this semester 5 Engineering Classes, 1 Literature Class, and Tai Chi for a total of 20 hours. But it shouldn’t be too bad, I think I’ve got some pretty good professors. Today I Got, got ready, drove, stopped at the store to get notebooks, hit the treadmill, worked, went to five classes, went to the bookstore to get one more thing, drove home, stopped at the post office, made tea and hear I am. Tomorrow will be a much easier day Bike, Swim, Work, Lit class, home, Tea, play my guitar, weights, Homework. Fun.
Wow, just read your posts from the beginning - you’re like the energizer bunny! Good for you! That’s one helluva goal, to do a triathlon, I’ll be cheering you on!
Well, I did half my bike in the morning because I thought the pool was open, but I mis read the hours and its on;y opne for lunch swim and evening swim on TR’s so I rearranged my schedule to do my swims at lunch on TR’s before Lit class.

Well, its a good thing that I did my workout this morning because I fell and landed on my knee at work. Scraped it up and bruised it. Don’t know if I’ll get my swim in tomorrow, we’ll see how it feels. Will do weights though. My steps are only through 10AM-ish because I left my pedometer on my jeans in my gym bag which I put in my locker when I went to class.
Hope your knee is alright...nice job on the rest of the workout.
What type of Tri are you preparing for...full or sprint triathlon??
Have a good night and ice the knee…
