And Yes, the Bowflex is extremely easy to use! There are “power rods” instead of weights, and they have rings at the top of the rod. There is a hook connected to the pulleys and all you do is put the hook through the rings of the rods you want to use. Couldn’t be any simpler than that!
Deb, I’ll hide your journal from your body. That way it won’t know what you’re doing. I got only a bit of the housework done but I did enjoy cooking last night.
Good job Deb...I gotta do more of those LSB workouts...I am usually an Interval type person...maybe even give yoga a try...seems alot of people on here do Yoga.
That is crazy, the scale schizophrenia. I’m glad to hear it’s going down, I was starting to think we are all very wrong on the amount of calories you should be eating. And I hate to have given advice that caused that much stress.
Congratulations on 35 years of marriage! That is an amazing accomplishment! Here’s to another 35!
Stuck scales are no fun; but exchanging fat for muscle is! Hang in there Brad!
I’ve been sleeping a lot more lately, not sure why, but last night I slept over 9.5 hours! I hope it’s OK...I don’t feel like I’m coming down with anything...So I’m assuming I just need a bit extra sleep.
I doooooo need more sleep....it’s all part of the proper training thing, but it’s tough (work takes such a big chunk out of the day!! what’s up with THAT!)
I’m asleep by 10 ish everynight, (sometimes a bit earlier, but roughly 10-1:30 usually) but up by 4-4:30, so thats only 6 hours of sleep.....I’m at the gym early and work until 5ish and commute over an hour home....so its dark....and then dinner, home stuff, some tv and time to go off to bed!
Sleep = Good
Heard your name again on the podcast this week....hey can I have your autograph? (you’re famous!)
You’re so funny Tom! I did get 9.5 hours last night too. We recently got one of those memory foam 4 inch mattress toppers. It’s pretty comfortable, so maybe that’s why I’m sleeping more - not waking up to aches and pains anymore. If so - Nice!
There is medical proof that says that sleep helps with weight loss (hey if you not awake, you can’t eat, right? ). But seriously, your body restores muscle tissues and metabolizes the food you eat when you sleep.
I just have to find a way (or discipline) to go to bed earlier if Im going to work out before work (my preferred time) Either that, or become independently wealthy, so work is not the issue? Maybe a job that pays what I get paid now, but allows me to train more? ohhh the possibilities..
I think I will start a sleep log, just to see.
Keep up the great workouts Deb.....and we’ll see you on stage!
I’ve always been a big fan of sleep! It takes something pretty special to get me to sacrifice sleeptime - so I’m glad I have plenty of time to go around! The fact that it’s good for me too, well, cool!
I had another workout first today...I could not continue...I wasn’t tired, I didn’t have pain, I just felt faint and had to stop...I always walk before breakfast, but this has never happened before. But I ate something and felt better. There was something about today that was different, but I don’t know what.
